Accordingly, there are 02 projects implemented in 2025 under the program of applying science and technology to serve new rural construction, restructuring the agricultural sector and developing OCOP products that have just been approved.

The first project is to raise commercial eels in tarpaulin-lined ponds according to a circular process combined with growing vegetables in an Aquaponics system in Ca Mau (Commercial Eel Farming). The goal of this project is to select and coordinate with specialized cooperatives to participate in the project to contribute to the development of collective economy , building new rural areas; improve productivity and product quality in the locality; train households to absorb and effectively apply the circular eel farming process combined with growing vegetables in an Aquaponics system.

Scale of the pond system: Area of 300 m2 (including 06 tarpaulin-lined ponds, each pond is 50 m2) and water circulation system. Use water from the fish pond to grow hydroponic vegetables in a covered net house. Stocking density is 8 fish/m2; (seed size 50g/fish). Total amount of fish fry is 2,400 fish. Survival rate is 75% or more. Farming time is 12 - 15 months. The scale of the vegetable growing system corresponds to the scale of the eel farming area. Vegetables include leafy vegetables such as: Lettuce, green cabbage, herbs... ensuring food safety.

The second project is to build and develop handicraft products to increase the value of banana products in Ca Mau province. The project's goal is to increase the value of handicraft products from banana trees to effectively exploit local raw materials, contributing to the development and diversification of OCOP products in the province.

Select and coordinate with specialized cooperatives to participate in project implementation to contribute to the development of collective economy, build new rural areas in the locality, improve productivity and product quality from available raw materials.
