On February 7, 2025, in Hanoi, Petrolimex Aviation Joint Stock Company held a kickoff ceremony to launch the ISCC (International Sustainability and Carbon Certification) project.
Attending and participating in the kickoff ceremony were Mr. Quach Thach Thi – Chief Consultant of ISC Vietnam International Standards Company, and Ms. Nguyen Nam Tran – Director of Business Assurance Solutions Department of SGS Vietnam Company. Representing Petrolimex Aviation were Mr. Pham Huy Thong – Chairman of the Board of Directors; Mr. Nguyen Van Hoc – Party Secretary, Member of the Board of Directors, and General Director; Mr. Le Minh Quoc – Deputy General Director of Military Petrochemical Joint Stock Company, and Member of the Board of Directors; along with other members of the Board of Directors, the General Management Board, the Supervisory Board, and leaders of departments/branches under the Company.
ISCC is a globally recognized and valid sustainable development certification system. With over 8,000 valid certificates in more than 120 countries, ISCC is one of the largest certification systems in the world. Over many years of development, ISCC is managed by an association of over 230 members, including research institutions and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). ISCC is used to inspect and ensure that agricultural , forestry, and renewable energy products are produced according to sustainable standards while minimizing negative impacts on the environment and society.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Hoc, Secretary of the Party Committee, Member of the Board of Directors, and General Director of the Company, affirmed that building a system towards ISCC sustainability certification demonstrates Petrolimex Aviation's strong commitment to contributing to the global goal of low carbon emissions, as well as realizing Vietnam's commitment at COP 26 to reduce net emissions to 0% by 2050. To implement this important project, the General Director requested all departments/branches in the system to prepare all resources, work together, be proactive, focused, and work with the highest responsibility to ensure the project is implemented according to the set schedule.
With the determination and efforts of all employees, Petrolimex Aviation is confident that the project will achieve brilliant success, contributing to enhancing the company's position in the market, joining hands in greening the aviation industry, and contributing to the sustainable development and prosperity of the country.
Also at the ceremony, the company launched the "PA Green" movement – implementing greenhouse gas emission reduction with the goal of building environmental protection awareness; encouraging the use of environmentally friendly solutions; greening and cleaning the working environment and offices, thereby improving the mental and physical health of the company's employees and effectively managing greenhouse gas emissions.
