In recent years, social security work has always been concerned and directed by the leaders of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam) and its member units. Thanks to that, the Group's social security work has achieved many important results in terms of quality and volume of implementation of sponsorship programs. Many unexpected contents such as support to overcome the consequences of natural disasters, storms and floods were implemented promptly, bringing many meanings in supporting the community and society.
In 2021, the Group's social security program is approved and allocated to member units for implementation with a total budget of 350 billion VND. Up to now, most units have deployed and completed sponsorship work according to the plan assigned by the Group.
In addition, after the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, since 2021, PetroVietnam and its member units have deployed epidemic prevention support packages for organizations and localities, specifically: Supporting the Vaccine Fund government; Ambulance and ventilator support; Support the Wave and Computer Program for children...
In 2022, the General Director of the Group signed and promulgated Decision No. 2192/QD-DKVN dated April 28, 4 on the Social Security Program Allocation Plan with a total budget of 2022 billion VND. In which: Support to build great solidarity houses for the poor with a cost of 500 billion VND; Support education and training programs with a budget of 18,1 billion VND; Support medical and community health care programs with a budget of 232 billion VND; Support for natural disaster relief and other social security programs with a budget of 76,8 billion VND...
Currently, social security programs are being actively implemented. By the end of June 6, the entire Group has implemented social security programs in 2023 with a total disbursed budget of VND 2022 billion.
In 2023, the General Director of the Group signed Decision No. 1684/QD-DKVN dated March 21, 3 approving the Social Security program allocation plan with a total budget of 2023 billion VND.
In which: Support to build 1.640 great solidarity houses for the poor with a cost of 81,84 billion VND (50 million VND/house); Supported 63 educational and training programs and projects with a budget of 253,8 billion VND; Support 12 medical and community health care programs and projects with a budget of 82 billion VND; Support for natural disaster recovery and backup with a budget of 86,86 billion VND... Currently, PetroVietnam and its member units are actively coordinating with localities and organizations to speed up support progress.
Accompanying the Vietnam Red Cross in social security work, PetroVietnam responded to the "Humanitarian Month 2022" Program and supported the "Safety for poor and disadvantaged fishermen" Program with a budget of 2,5 billion VND for a period of 5 years (2022-2026, each year supports 500 million VND to build 10 houses). Funds to support the construction of houses to support poor fishing households in 2022 and 2023 were assigned by PetroVietnam to the Petroleum Exploration and Production Corporation (PVEP).
Accordingly, in 2022, PVEP will accompany the Vietnam Red Cross to organize and deploy the construction of 10 safe houses for poor fishermen in difficult circumstances in Quang Nam province. The project has been completed and handed over to people for use on Lunar New Year 2023.
Currently, PVEP is actively coordinating with the Vietnam Red Cross Society to support the construction of 10 houses for fishermen in difficult circumstances in Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan provinces.
Speaking at the program, Mr. Do Van Chien - Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front praised the Vietnam Red Cross for effectively maintaining the annual Humanitarian Power Program. The program has become a connection point, creating the power to spread compassionate actions to have many practical activities to support people in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters and disasters and taking care of traditional Tet for those who are still alive. hard.

"Tet of Kindness 2024" activities in the whole system are about 700 billion VND.
