A high-quality oriented school
Giang Vo 2 Junior High School was established by separating from Giang Vo Junior High School, and will begin enrolling 6th graders from the 2024-2025 school year. The school aims to build a high-quality institution to reduce student overcrowding while creating a modern, safe, and friendly learning environment. The school's operation contributes to completing the school network in the area, meeting the educational needs of children in Giang Vo ward and surrounding areas.
As early as 2021, the People's Council of Ba Dinh District (formerly) approved the investment plan for the construction of Giang Vo 2 Secondary School, focusing on high-quality education. The project is being built on a 5,420m2 plot of land with a total investment of over 245 billion VND; the building will have 5 floors and 1 basement; and will be equipped with comprehensive learning facilities for students and working equipment for teachers.
To date, the construction of Giang Vo 2 Secondary School, a high-quality school, has been completed on schedule and to the required standards. Upon completion, the school will have 32 classrooms, fully accommodating students in the boarding program. Students at Giang Vo 2 Secondary School will study in a modern environment with a multi-purpose gymnasium, an international standard basketball court, a modern library, STEM classrooms, and more.
Looking back on the past two years since the school's establishment, Principal Pham Thi Huong Giang of Giang Vo 2 Secondary School said that the school operated under temporary conditions while simultaneously constructing the new building. After persistent efforts, the teachers and students have officially been able to use a spacious and modern facility; not only is it of high quality in terms of functionality, but it is also a beautiful architectural landmark of Giang Vo ward.
“It is a source of pride that in just its second year, the school's students have won 1,476 awards from the ward, city, national, and international levels. This is proof of the efforts of the teachers and students, and of the correct direction in the school's development. The new facilities are the foundation, the springboard, and the strong internal force that will enable Giang Vo 2 Secondary School to soon become a high-quality school,” said teacher Pham Thi Huong Giang.
As one of the first students of Giang Vo 2 Secondary School and one of the students who benefit from the new, modern facilities, Nguyen Phuong Nga, a student in class 7A1, expressed her pride in studying in the spacious and modern school. She shared: "Every day at school, my friends and I always feel excited about the large, beautiful classrooms, the well-equipped functional rooms, and the friendly learning environment. I will try my best to study well, improve myself, and 'polish myself to shine like a sparkling diamond,' as the Principal always reminds us."
Model of the Capital's Education System
It is an honor and a source of pride for the teachers and students of Giang Vo 2 Secondary School as the project is inaugurated and a plaque is unveiled on May 21, 2025, to celebrate the 136th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2026).
During a visit to the facilities of Giang Vo 2 Secondary School at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Vu Thu Ha affirmed that Giang Vo 2 Secondary School is a typical high-quality public school model that Hanoi is focusing on investing in to concretize the spirit of Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in education and training development, and the 2026 Law on the Capital City in the field of education and training. This is not only a new educational facility put into use, but also a concrete step in the strategy of developing the Capital's education system towards modernity, synchronization, and approaching advanced standards.
Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Vu Thu Ha emphasized that the school has been invested with modern facilities, including classrooms, a gymnasium, a swimming pool, a canteen for boarding students, and other well-planned functional areas, meeting the requirements of teaching and learning in the new era. This model aims to build a comprehensive educational environment where students not only have access to high-quality academic programs but also develop their physical abilities, skills, and comprehensive competencies in the best possible learning conditions.
According to the city's guidelines, high-quality schools will be maintained and developed in areas with favorable socio-economic conditions. The state will ensure basic conditions similar to the mass public school system, while parents will contribute to high-quality services, in a spirit of openness, transparency, and clear commitment to educational quality.
With the inauguration and commissioning of Giang Vo 2 Secondary School, Chairman of Giang Vo Ward People's Committee Co Nhu Dung affirmed that this is not only an important milestone for the school but also a shared pride of the Party Committee, government, and people of the locality; at the same time, it affirms the correct direction of the ward in its strategy of prioritizing investment in education, building an advanced learning environment, integrating and developing comprehensively for the younger generation, especially the direction of developing high-quality education in Giang Vo ward.
“With the tradition of studiousness in this land of outstanding people and rich history, and a focus on high-quality development, Giang Vo 2 Secondary School will soon rise to become a shining example in the capital's education sector. It will nurture generations of talented and morally upright students, equipped with the necessary knowledge to integrate into and contribute to the nation,” emphasized the Chairman of the People's Committee of Giang Vo Ward.
