The 1st Smart City Microchip Design Competition 2023 has just held its award ceremony, as well as launched the 2nd competition this year.
Launching programs to search for and exploit the semiconductor microchip capacity of the young intellectual generation is an activity.
This is a contest organized by the Management Board of Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park, in coordination with related units, implemented by the High-Tech Business Incubator and the Center for Youth Science and Technology Development.
The competition will seek products, solutions, and microchip design ideas to solve problems posed in the context of the city focusing on investment, development, and promoting the construction of smart cities. The competition receives sponsorship from large enterprises in the fields of science, technology , and innovation such as Techtronic Industries (TTI)...
Talking about accompanying the promotion of science and technology development and innovation, representative of Techtronic Industries Vietnam (TTI), Ms. Sharon LiXu, Senior Vice President in charge of Centralized Services shared: "Joining hands with the management board of the high-tech park, departments and agencies of Ho Chi Minh City and related organizations to contribute to social development has always been an important part of the group's ESG strategy. Especially in creating useful playgrounds for the city's youth to access and apply advances in creativity and technological innovation. Accompanying the first smart urban microchip design competition emphasizes TTI's commitment and contribution on the journey towards the goal of smart urban development, sustainable growth of the city and the country."
At the end of the competition, the project teams were closer to completing a microchip design product. The top 5 projects presented their products and important applications of the products in solving problems of smart urban development.
Following the success of the first competition in 2023, the Launching Ceremony of the 2nd Microchip Design Competition in 2024 has just been officially held, starting a journey to search for and nurture microchip design projects, developing the semiconductor microchip industry in Ho Chi Minh City and the whole country.
