The books were received at the Red Scarf Publications Department - Tuoi Tre Newspaper (12 Pham Ngoc Thach Street, Xuan Hoa Ward, Ho Chi Minh City). After launching the program, thousands of books were received from schools.

The Red Scarf Bookcase project is one of the activities aimed at concretizing the "Small Plan" movement, linked to the construction of youth projects among city children and young people in the period 2026-2031, with the goal of spreading reading culture and supporting disadvantaged children.

Through this program, members of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union and children can contribute age-appropriate books such as children's stories, skill-building books, science books, history books, inspirational books, etc. These books will be collected, categorized, and donated to youth groups and schools that lack access to books.

Besides team members and students, parents, organizations, and businesses can also participate by donating books or providing financial support to purchase new books.

Besides providing books for students in disadvantaged areas, the activity also aims to educate children about the spirit of sharing knowledge, compassion, and frugality through small but practical actions.

The project is also linked to activities such as "For our friends in the suburbs" and "The Youth Union progresses together," through donating bookshelves, organizing cultural reading playgrounds, and providing gifts to disadvantaged children.
