Promoting the core role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations

Speaking at the workshop, Dr. Nguyen Huu Dung, Former Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Head of the Project, emphasized: Building socialist democracy and perfecting the socialist rule-of-law state requires the efforts and responsibilities of each member of the political system as well as of the whole society, in which the proactive and creative contributions of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations play a very important role.

Through collecting and synthesizing opinions and recommendations in many specific fields, the Front has discovered many pressing issues in society, many shortcomings in policy implementation and has made specific and accurate recommendations, helping state agencies to remove obstacles, promptly adjust and supplement relevant policies and legal regulations.

However, in promoting people's mastery, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations still reveal some limitations.

That is, some of the contents and methods of operation of the Front are not suitable for the new mechanism, lack specificity, and do not meet the needs, aspirations and legitimate interests of members, leading to failure to attract a large number of forces to participate in the movements.

At the workshop, delegates discussed and clarified the current situation and identified the causes of the current situation, identified practical issues that need to be resolved to promote the core role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations for people to be masters in the past time, as well as in the new development period of the country.

Delegates also proposed viewpoints, directions, tasks and solutions to promote the core role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations so that people can be masters until 2030 and with a vision to 2045.

The opinions contribute to providing scientific arguments on promoting the core role of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations for people to be masters, contributing to the development of documents of the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and documents of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam ; proposing and recommending to the Party, the State, the Standing Committees of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels, and leaders of socio-political organizations to promote the core role of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations for people to be masters until 2030 and with a vision to 2045.

The Project Management Board has received all the opinions of the delegates at the workshop and said that the research results of the Project will contribute to explaining theoretical issues on the role of the people, promoting the role of the people as well as the viewpoints of Party leadership, State management, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations as the core for people to be masters in the process of promoting industrialization, modernization of the country and international integration today.
