Ho Chi Minh City has 186 old apartment buildings that need to be inspected for renovation and reconstruction.

The Department of Construction of Ho Chi Minh City has just sent a document to the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City regarding the review and inspection of old apartment buildings in Ho Chi Minh City.

According to the Department of Construction, through review and reports from the wards, currently Ho Chi Minh City has 186 old apartment buildings that need to be inspected and re-inspected. The Department of Construction proposed that the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee agree in principle to organize inspection and quality assessment of 186 old apartment buildings according to the proposed list. At the same time, it proposed that the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee assign the Department of Finance to urgently arrange funds for the inspection of apartment buildings for the People's Committees of the wards to carry out the inspection work.

In addition, the Department of Construction recommends that the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City assign the People's Committees of wards in the area with apartment buildings that need to be inspected or re-inspected to organize and approve the inspection task; select an inspection organization with sufficient capacity and suitable for the content of the inspection task; review and accept the inspection results report. The Department of Construction of Ho Chi Minh City notes that the People's Committees of wards must clearly determine the quality of the apartment building that must be demolished or not in the inspection results report; in case the apartment building is not in the case of demolition, the report must clearly state the time of continued use until the apartment building is in the case of demolition.
