Previously, on the afternoon of November 20, the hospital received a 5-year-old patient named LTAT (from Long Binh ward, Dong Nai province) who was vomiting due to choking on a foreign object. The family said that the child’s mother dropped the ring into a water bottle but did not take it out.
The little girl was playing in the house and was thirsty so she took a bottle of water and swallowed the ring. Afterwards, she cried hoarsely, vomited, and tried to reach into her throat but could not get the ring out, so her family took her to the hospital for emergency treatment.

Through X-ray, doctors found a foreign object, a ring, in the child's esophagus, so they transferred the child to the operating room and performed an endoscopy. As a result, the doctor removed the metal ring from the esophagus and the child's health has stabilized.
Doctors recommend that families with small children should be careful and avoid leaving objects that children can put in their mouths, as in the above case.
