Expectations for the annual 'JEEP Pickleball Tournament by Tien Phong Newspaper - For disadvantaged children'

More importantly, the entire registration fee of the athletes (75 million VND) and the amount collected from the auction of the 2011 SEA Games Gold Medal signed by Coach Truong Minh Sang of the Vietnam Gymnastics Team, was given by the Organizing Committee to disadvantaged children at the National Children's Hospital ( Hanoi ) on the morning of Sunday, October 19.

At the same time, with the spirit of "Sports - Connection - Sharing", the tournament is also a bridge of compassion, raising funds to support children in difficult circumstances at the National Children's Hospital".

"Each ball, each match not only has sporting significance but also an act of sharing, a heart of kindness for the community," journalist Phung Cong Suong emphasized.

Appreciating the significance of the tournament, Ms. Le Thi Hoang Yen - Deputy Director of the Vietnam Sports and Physical Training Department - said that combining sports with charity activities is a model that needs to be replicated.

“Pickleball is a modern sport, bringing the spirit of connection and spreading positive energy. Organizing a tournament with the goal of raising funds for sick children is a practical action, demonstrating the social responsibility of sports lovers. Ms. Le Thi Hoang Yen and Mr. Le Thanh Ha (Deputy Head of High Performance Sports Department) won third place in the mixed doubles category for women over 40 years old.

In the spirit of sharing, Ms. Le Thi Hoang Yen presented the third prize in the over 40s men's and women's doubles to the National Children's Hospital's support fund, expressing her wish that "children will overcome illness and move towards a bright future".

An emotional highlight of the tournament was the charity auction of the valuable 2011 SEA Games Gold Medal signed by Coach Truong Minh Sang of the Vietnam Gymnastics Team, presented to the Organizing Committee. The successful bidder was Ms. Trang Trinh - General Secretary of the Vietnam Skating and Roller Skating Federation, with a bid of 11 million VND.

Ms. Trang Trinh and athlete Thanh Nguyen won the mixed doubles under 40 years old.

“I am very touched to be able to contribute a small part to this meaningful program. The medal not only has sporting value but also symbolizes the spirit of dedication and sharing.
