Developing party members among workers, including miners in coal units, plays an important role, not only in supplementing resources and fighting strength for grassroots party organizations, but also contributing to the effectiveness of production and business activities in the unit.
Once an open-pit coal mining unit of TKV Group, Nui Beo Coal Joint Stock Company has successfully shifted to underground mining at mining levels from -140 to -250. Therefore, the Company has continuously built a strong team of cadres and employees to meet the requirements and assigned production tasks. With the role of representing the legitimate rights and interests of union members and employees, the Union of Nui Beo Coal Joint Stock Company has advised the Party Committee of the Company not only to do a good job of taking care of the lives of workers but also to do a good job of building and rectifying the Party. In particular, it focuses on discovering and nurturing outstanding masses who are union members and employees to introduce to the Party for training and admission, especially the team of miners.
After graduating from Vietnam College of Coal and Minerals in 2017, Mr. Thao A Thenh ( Son La province) worked at Mining Workshop 5, Nui Beo Coal Joint Stock Company. In the first days of setting foot in the mine, Mr. Thenh encountered many surprises in his work, however, with the guidance of party members in the Party cell and the trade union group in Mining Workshop 5, Mr. Thao A Thenh gradually mastered the technology and always excellently completed the assigned tasks. In early 2023, Mr. Thenh achieved the title of skilled worker at the Group level and at the end of 2023, he was admitted to the Party. Miner Thao A Thenh said: "Being in the ranks of the Party is an honor for me and I will always try to learn and strive to improve my skills to meet the assigned production tasks".
According to Chairman of the Trade Union of Nui Beo Coal Joint Stock Company Nguyen Tien Nhuong, the training and development of new party members aims to create a source and supplement the force of young party members with qualifications and capacity to meet the requirements of production tasks. In 2 years (2022-2023), the Party Committee of Nui Beo Coal Joint Stock Company admitted 67 new party members, of which 58 were miners. In the first 6 months of 2024, the Party Committee of Nui Beo Coal Joint Stock Company admitted 7 new party members, of which 4 were miners.
As a traditional unit in underground mining of the coal industry, Mao Khe Coal Company constantly focuses on party development work, in which the core is the team of miners. Chairman of Mao Khe Coal Company's Union, Nguyen Van Vinh, said: Closely following the plan and targets in party development work of the Company's Party Committee, the union has directed the departmental unions to introduce outstanding union members who are exemplary in labor production, actively participate in emulation movements; practice good self-cultivation, comply with the Company's policies and regulations and wish to join the Party. The union will introduce them to the Party Committee to continue training and consider admission.
Mao Khe Coal Company currently has a total of 1,450 miners working in 16 mining and tunneling workshops. Since the beginning of the year, Mao Khe Coal Company's Party Committee has coordinated to organize a training course on Party awareness for 44 people. The Company's Party Committee has considered admitting 12 new Party members, including 8 miners; the company's trade union introduced 3 miners to the Party. It is expected that on the occasion of the upcoming National Day, September 2, the Company's Party Committee will consider admitting 13 new Party members, including 4 miners.
Developing party members among workers, including miners, has always been of interest and focus to the Party Committees of member units under the Quang Ninh Coal Party Committee and the TKV Group Party Committee. This is the core team to supplement the force of young party members with professional qualifications and political courage, ensuring succession, development, increasing the vitality of the party, improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the party, meeting the requirements of production tasks in the whole industry.
From the beginning of 2024 to present, the Party Committees under the Quang Ninh Coal Party Committee and the TKV Group Party Committee located in Quang Ninh province have admitted a total of 346 new Party members, including 168 miners.
