Developing electric car tours

During the Lunar New Year this year, tourists will experience green tours with green transportation services by electric cars and electric buses.

On October 25, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Ky - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietravel Group - said that the unit has just reached a comprehensive cooperation agreement with Vingroup Corporation to accelerate the green transition process in its business activities.

Accordingly, the two sides will introduce electric cars and electric buses to serve tourists, provide plastic waste-free service packages, and promote green tours.

Specifically, in the field of green tourism, Vietravel Corp and Vingroup will research to put VinFast electric cars and VinBus electric buses into service for transporting tourist passengers. In addition, the two sides will also research to deploy green car services in tours, flights and suitable green tourism products.

Vinpearl and VinWonders also aim to work with Vietravel to provide plastic-free travel packages, creating a different experience for customers. This cooperation takes advantage of Vietravel Corp's eco-friendly tourism ecosystem, including environmentally responsible travel products and services.

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Ky said that for the group, green tourism is not only a trend but also an indispensable part of the long-term development strategy to minimize environmental impacts from tourism activities.

Therefore, moving towards green tourism is not only to satisfy the set goals, but businesses also see this as a practical requirement, a demand of tourists. Vietravel's green tours will use VinFast electric cars to serve domestic and international tourists with a different experience, raising awareness for tourists, contributing to reducing emissions into the environment.

"The group's roadmap for developing green tourism products associated with green mobility is based on the development of the partner's charging station infrastructure. In the immediate future, the two groups will jointly build charging station infrastructure and deploy a number of green tours and green mobility during Tet this year for international and domestic groups. We also encourage employees to use environmentally friendly means of transport," said Mr. Ky.

Ms. Le Thi Thu Thuy - Vice President of Vingroup Corporation - believes that cooperation between two Vietnamese enterprises brings customers green experiences, creating new values for Vietnamese brands.

More importantly, the two sides are working together to create a sustainable green future and elevate the Vietnamese brand in the international market, accompanying the Government in realizing its commitment to achieve net zero emissions by 2050.
