From innovative thinking to exemplary economic models.
Along with the development of science and technology and market demands, women in the ancestral land have been gradually changing their way of thinking and doing things, boldly applying technical advancements to production. From the mindset of "making just enough to eat," many women have shifted to a mindset of "sustainable economic development," knowing how to calculate economic efficiency, build product brands, and expand consumer markets.
Many women members have actively participated in cooperative models and cooperatives, developing local specialty products associated with the "One Commune One Product" (OCOP) program and building new rural areas. Numerous models of women entrepreneurs, successful women in business, women participating in collective economic development, safe agricultural production, and green economy are increasingly being replicated.
Furthermore, the number and quality of female entrepreneurs, workers, and employees in the province are increasing, making a positive contribution to the development of the local economy. The "Excellent Worker, Creative Worker" emulation movement has attracted a large number of female cadres, workers, and employees to participate. During the period 2021-2025, the entire province saw over 60,600 scientific projects, innovative ideas, and technical improvements by female workers and employees, generating over 450 billion VND in benefits for businesses and society.
Along with promoting awareness-raising through propaganda, the Women's Union at all levels has implemented a comprehensive set of support solutions, creating conditions for women to develop their abilities, unleash their potential, and foster creativity. During the 2021-2025 term, the provincial Women's Union supported members in establishing 34 new cooperatives, 201 cooperative groups and economic development linkages, and maintained 295 household economic development models.
Simultaneously, the organization coordinated over 1,000 training courses to transfer scientific and technological advancements to more than 52,000 members; and provided vocational training for over 11,000 female workers. Alongside this, credit funds channeled through the Women's Union continued to be managed and utilized effectively, with a total outstanding loan balance exceeding 6,000 billion VND, supporting over 123,800 female members in borrowing to develop their family businesses.

A shift in mindset is a crucial prerequisite for many women to boldly start businesses, develop enterprises, and create valuable brands. One such exemplary figure is Ms. Le Thi Nga, General Director of Tam Dao Beekeeping Joint Stock Company (Honeco). Formerly a Biology teacher with over 15 years of teaching experience, driven by a desire to create clean agricultural products, she and her husband decided to switch to beekeeping in 2002. Starting with a small number of bee colonies and facing numerous difficulties in terms of capital, technology, and market access, Ms. Nga, through perseverance and innovative thinking, has gradually built the Tam Dao honey brand.

Proactive adaptation in the digital age
In the context of digital transformation and international integration, women in our province are gradually changing their mindset, proactively approaching technology and applying digital platforms in economic development. Recognizing that a technological mindset is no longer an option but a necessity, the Provincial Women's Union has implemented many practical activities to support women in the digital transformation process.
Training courses on smartphone usage skills, online sales, cashless payments, livestreaming product promotion, etc., are regularly organized, helping members gradually transition from traditional business methods to digital business.
In addition, many women's entrepreneurship models, women's economic development groups, and women-managed cooperatives have received support in brand building, packaging design, traceability, and product listing on e-commerce platforms. OCOP products and distinctive products of the ancestral land region are gradually having their information digitized and their consumer markets expanded.
In particular, for women in rural, mountainous, and ethnic minority areas, the Women's Union at all levels has implemented a "hands-on" guidance approach, from creating accounts and taking product photos to posting sales ads and conducting online transactions. As a result, many women have confidently accessed technology and are gradually mastering the digital environment.
A highlight of the Provincial Women's Union's activities is the effective implementation of the "Supporting Women's Entrepreneurship" project. Through workshops, seminars, and training programs, women members have been equipped with knowledge and skills for entrepreneurship, business model development, and access to support resources.
From 2021 to the present, the Association has supported capacity building for over 9,600 women who are business owners, cooperative managers, and household business owners, and assisted over 2,700 women in starting their own businesses. Throughout the province, 429 innovative startup projects and ideas have participated in competitions organized by the Vietnam Women's Union and the Provincial Women's Union, with many projects winning high awards.
To transform breakthroughs in mindset into a driving force for sustainable development, the Provincial Women's Union will continue to promote propaganda and mobilization efforts to unleash the potential and creativity of women in the development of science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation. Simultaneously, it will encourage and support women in establishing cooperatives and associations, aiming towards the development of smart agriculture, green agriculture, and the circular economy, and the development of OCOP products owned by women; and strengthen coordination with sectors, businesses, banks, and technology units to mobilize social resources for programs supporting women's digital transformation, entrepreneurship, vocational training, and sustainable job creation.
