Women with smoke and straw

Deep down, everyone’s heart cherishes a “ticket back to childhood” – a priceless ticket, unmatched by anything else. Just by gently closing your eyes, you seem to be sitting on a train of memories, returning to your beloved homeland, where there are golden rice fields stretching far and wide, and the lingering smoke of burning rice that your mother used to burn every afternoon. That smoke carries the pungent smell of straw, the smell of soil after the rain and sun, and the smell of hard work that has turned into a bountiful harvest.

Introduction: At the end of each harvest season, the fields are covered in smoke when the straw is burned to clear the fields. This work seems to be only for strong men, but many women also participate enthusiastically. In the afternoon sun and the rising white smoke, in the heat of the burning fire, despite being drenched in sweat, they still have bright, sincere smiles, like the joy after a bumper crop.
