Women of Dien Trung commune actively build advanced new rural areas

After reaching the NTM finish line in 2020, the Party Committee, government and people of Dien Trung commune continue to join hands and unite to build an advanced NTM. To contribute to the Party Committee, government and local people to bring Dien Trung to the standard of an advanced NTM commune in 2025, the Women's Union of the commune has stepped up propaganda and mobilized members to join hands in building and constructing rural infrastructure, with many specific and practical tasks, such as actively participating in emulation movements "Women actively study, work creatively, build happy families", "Women help each other develop the economy " and the campaign "Building a family of 5 no, 3 clean" in the locality. Along with effectively maintaining the models of self-governing women, the Women's Union of the commune has proactively established teams to collect household waste, mobilized cadres and women members to actively participate in donating land, contributing working days to build concrete roads; planting and caring for flower roads; maintain rural environmental sanitation

Taking us to visit the flower roads planted and cared for by female members, Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Dien Trung Commune, Ngan Thi Huong, said: The Women's Union of Dien Trung Commune currently has 1,896 members operating in 10 branches. Implementing the specialized resolution of the Party Executive Committee of the commune on building an advanced new-style rural commune by 2025, the Women's Union of the commune was assigned by the Steering Committee for New-style Rural Construction of the commune to implement environmental criteria. In line with the assigned tasks, the union has established 10 environmental protection clubs in 10 branches in the commune, with nearly 400 members participating. At the same time, focus on propagating and mobilizing members to participate in maintaining rural environmental sanitation according to the motto "clean house - clean alley", associated with the campaign "Building a family of 5 no, 3 clean". Launching members of 10 branches to carry out the movement of "carrying plastic baskets to the market", using biological products in livestock and crop farming, pesticides of natural origin...

Along with that, the Women's Union of Dien Trung commune has focused on effectively exploiting loan sources from banks for female members to borrow to develop the economy. For example, loan sources from the Social Policy Bank of Ba Thuoc district have been helping 193 members borrow to develop production and business with a total outstanding loan of nearly 12.2 billion VND; Agribank Ba Thuoc has lent 86 members with a total outstanding loan of more than 10.5 billion VND. Along with that, it has encouraged members to boldly apply and transfer science and technology, actively introduce high-yield and high-value crop and livestock varieties into commodity production. Since then, many models of family farms and ranches have been formed and developed, bringing in income for members from 200 to 300 million VND/year.

Through the above meaningful and practical activities, the Commune Women's Union has promoted the role of its members in implementing environmental criteria and changing the rural appearance of Dien Trung to become more spacious and clean. In the coming time, the Commune Women's Union will continue to strengthen propaganda work, raise awareness among cadres and female members about the purpose and significance of building advanced new rural areas. At the same time, actively innovate activities to replicate good models and creative ways of collectives and individuals, in order to make practical contributions to the process of building advanced new rural areas in the locality.
