Representatives of the units signed the cooperation agreement.
The launch ceremony of the “Startup Flight” initiative took place in Ho Chi Minh City with the participation of Government representatives, city leaders and experts from the Indian Institute of Technology.
As a co-founder of the program, Vietjet not only plays the role of an aviation bridge but also a “pioneer”, connecting intellectuals, cooperating in investment, helping Vietnamese and Indian startup talents reach out to the region and the world. The special program connects startup centers in Hanoi, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City with the largest and most dynamic cities in India where Vietjet has connecting flights such as New Delhi, Mumbai, Kochi, Bengaluru and Hyderabad.
The initiative aims to nurture talent and promote innovative solutions in four priority areas: Software & Data/AI, E-commerce & Retail, EdTech, and Transportation & Logistics. The winning teams will have the opportunity to develop into national unicorns, making a practical contribution to Vietnam’s rising era and India’s economic development.
Accordingly, from now until September 15, 2025, individuals or groups of up to 3 members from Vietnam and India are invited to submit proposals via the website TheStartUpFlight.vietjetair.com.
After the preliminary round, the 8 best teams, equivalent to 2 teams for each field, will be selected to participate in the “Startup Flight” with Vietjet, and receive direct advice from experts and prestigious founders from the two countries. The finalists will present their ideas to investors, with the winning team in each field receiving a cash prize of 1,000 USD, and a pair of Vietjet round-trip tickets between Vietnam and India.
Mr. Bui Trung Thuong, Commercial Counselor, Head of the Commercial Section of the Embassy of Vietnam in India, shared: “India is a global powerhouse of technology and innovation. With 5/6 of Vietjet’s destinations in India listed among the world’s top 100 startup cities, we are proud that this is a technology platform that helps promote meaningful partnerships, cultural exchanges and inspire breakthrough ideas between Vietnam and India.”
