Women's Union members of Hoang Phu commune help the family of member Le Thi Tien in Phu Thuong 1 village to recover after storm No. 10.
The emulation campaign has created a vibrant atmosphere in all levels of the association, strongly promoting the spirit of solidarity and mutual love of the community to participate in supporting the construction and repair of new houses for poor and near-poor households, people affected by natural disasters, climate change and families of meritorious people facing housing difficulties. With the motto "Everyone contributes", the Women's Union of units has promoted propaganda and mobilization in meetings and social networking platforms to spread the message of sharing love, arousing feelings and responsibility in each cadre, women's union member and people. From specific actions such as contributing funds, working days, supporting materials, to sincere words of encouragement... all have created meaningful community strength.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu, a member of the Women's Union in Yen Ninh commune, shared: "Removing temporary and dilapidated houses is not only a material support, but also a way for us women to encourage and help each other to overcome difficulties and improve our lives. We arrange time to boil water, transport cement, roofing sheets, load and unload bricks... each person has a job to help the "homeowners" have less difficulty."
The recent storm No. 10 caused the level 4 house of member Le Thi Tien's family in Phu Thuong 1 village, Hoang Phu commune to collapse completely. During that difficult time, her family received help from many women in the village and commune, along with the functional forces, who came to help with labor and cleaning the house and garden. The President of the Women's Union of the commune, Le Thi Phuong, said: "The Women's Union of the commune has reviewed and grasped the situation of member families in the commune whose houses were affected by storm No. 10 to advise the Party Committee and the government to step up propaganda and mobilize resources to support the construction of houses for members as soon as possible, helping them to stabilize their lives soon."
With the active participation of women's associations at all levels, up to now, 52 houses have been built/repaired with a total cost of more than 2.5 billion VND, of which the Provincial Women's Union has supported 10 houses. The remaining funds are contributed by officials and members and mobilized by benefactors to transfer to the Fatherland Front Committee at the same level to consider supporting members to build houses according to Directive No. 22, including members and women with special housing difficulties. Along with that, associations at all levels have implemented many practical tasks such as: mobilizing 1,500 officials and members to participate in supporting 750 working days, more than 8,000 bricks, many trucks of sand, donating beds and other items to stabilize life.
Solid, warm and affectionate houses built by the efforts of families, the care and sharing of the community, the solidarity and help of women's associations at all levels have become a support for members to settle down, overcome adversity, and contribute to the goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the area in the spirit of not leaving anyone behind.
