Phu Tho Department of Education and Training requested the Department of Education and Training of Lam Thao, Tam Nong, and Cam Khe to direct kindergartens, primary schools, and secondary schools in the area to review and grasp the number of children and students going to school every day via Phong Chau and Tu My bridges.

The units coordinated to receive children and students who needed to temporarily study at kindergartens, primary schools, and secondary schools in the area while the Phong Chau bridge collapse was repaired and vehicles were banned from crossing Tu My and Trung Ha bridges.

For high schools and continuing education centers in Tam Nong, Lam Thao, and Cam Khe districts, review and make a list of students. Organize the handover of students of the unit who need to temporarily study at the other unit; receive students of the other unit who need to temporarily study at their unit (including students residing in Tam Nong district who are currently studying at some high schools in Ba Vi district, Hanoi ).

Students are temporarily arranged into classes with flexible combinations of elective subjects, ensuring maximum coverage of the subjects students study.

The Department requires schools to regularly exchange information, situation, and learning results of students. At the same time, closely coordinate with parents to manage, support, and help students during the temporary study process.

When the temporary bridge replaces Phong Chau bridge and Trung Ha bridge and Tu My bridge are opened to traffic, the units will hand over students and their learning and training results to the old units. After that, the schools will develop and implement plans to test, make up for, and reinforce knowledge for the students of the unit after the time the students are temporarily studying.

Previously, at around 10:00 a.m. on September 9, Phong Chau bridge on National Highway 32C across the Red River connecting Tam Nong district and Lam Thao district of this province collapsed.

The Department of Transport of Phu Tho province said the cause was due to storm No. 3 causing floods, causing the Red River to rise, the rapid flow changed the terrain of the riverbed, toppled the T7 pillar and collapsed the two main spans of Phong Chau bridge (spans 6 and 7).

According to the report of Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee, in the Phong Chau bridge collapse, 1 truck, 1 car, 5 motorbikes, 1 electric bicycle were swept away. Currently, rescue work is still being carried out.
