On August 2nd, the Traffic Police Department announced that after two days of implementing the online vehicle registration process via the Public Service Portal or the VNeID application, 18 cases nationwide were successfully completed at home, including two cases in Phu Tho province .

From August 1st, people can register their first vehicle using the VNeID app.
Specifically, among these 18 cases, 6 involved car registrations and 12 involved motorcycle registrations. By locality, Hanoi had 4 vehicle owners; Phu Tho and Da Nang each had 2. The remaining provinces: An Giang, Bac Kan, Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, Dak Lak, Dong Thap, Quang Ninh, Thai Binh, Thanh Hoa, and Tien Giang each had one case.
According to Circular No. 28/2024/TT-BCA, from August 1, 2024, citizens will register their vehicles for the first time online through the public service portal or the national identification application, using a full online public service process.
After completing the registration, license plates and documents can be received by mail . To complete the procedure, citizens need to have a level 2 identity verification account, a bank account for online payment, and follow the steps such as taking photos of the vehicle and relevant documents as required by the application.
