By noon on November 6, Duc Pho ward (Quang Ngai province) had completed the evacuation of more than 220 people in vulnerable areas to safety, ensuring the prevention and control of storm No. 13.

On the same morning, 20 residents of Truong Sanh residential group were urgently evacuated to storm shelters arranged by the ward, with full electricity, water, medicine and necessities. Ms. Huynh Thi Hong Van, Truong Sanh residential group, shared: "The staff here take care of everything for us from drinking water to accommodation, so I feel very secure."

Duc Pho Ward has 112 households with more than 220 people that must be evacuated. The government has arranged 3 concentrated shelters, mobilized police, military and medical forces to be on duty 24/7 to support people. Mr. Tran Ngoc Sang, Chairman of Duc Pho Ward People's Committee, said: "The ward prioritizes interspersed evacuation at households with solid houses, and at the same time arranges safe gathering points with full necessities for people to get through the storm."

Currently, all of the nearly 170 fishing boats have reached shore and are anchored safely; more than 130 shrimp ponds and 5 freshwater fish cages have been reinforced. The inspection of the electrical system and telecommunication towers has also been completed, ensuring safety before the storm.
