
On the morning of the same day, 20 residents of Truong Sanh neighborhood were urgently evacuated to storm shelters arranged by the ward, with full access to electricity, water, medicine, and essential supplies. Ms. Huynh Thi Hong Van, a resident of Truong Sanh neighborhood, shared: "The officials here have taken care of everything for us, from drinking water to accommodation, so I feel very reassured."
In Duc Pho ward, 112 households with over 220 people need to be evacuated. The authorities have arranged three centralized shelters and mobilized police, military, and medical personnel to be on duty 24/7 to support the residents. Mr. Tran Ngoc Sang, Chairman of the People's Committee of Duc Pho ward, said: “The ward prioritizes the relocation of residents to households with sturdy houses, while also arranging safe and well-stocked shelters with essential supplies to help people weather the storm.”
Currently, nearly 170 fishing boats belonging to local fishermen have returned to shore and are safely anchored; more than 130 shrimp ponds and 5 freshwater fish cages have been reinforced. Inspection of the electrical system and telecommunication towers has also been completed, ensuring safety before the storm.
