Tịnh Biên ward strives to achieve an urbanization rate of 88%.

On December 31st, the Party Committee of Tinh Bien Ward (An Giang Province) held its 4th Executive Committee Meeting to summarize the political tasks performed in 2025 and to set forth directions and tasks for 2026.

Overview of the conference.

In 2025, the Party Committee of Tinh Bien ward achieved and exceeded 13 out of 15 socio -economic development targets. Notably, the growth rate of total product value reached 8.57% (0.07% higher than the resolution target); total output (GO) at current prices reached over 4,312 billion VND; total retail sales of goods and service revenue reached over 3,408 billion VND. Average per capita income reached 71.71 million VND/person/year; the poverty rate in 2025 was 1.97% (a reduction of 36 households); and the rate of regularly employed workers reached 81.98%...

Party building and the political system have achieved good results, especially in the capacity and methods of leadership and management of Party committees, which have seen many effective innovations; the effectiveness and efficiency of management and administration of governments at all levels have improved.

The leaders of Tinh Bien ward suggested that the matter be discussed at the meeting.

In 2026, the Party Committee of Tinh Bien ward set out 6 groups of targets covering economy, culture and society , environment, science and technology development, national defense and security, and Party building, with 24 specific targets. Among these, the goal is to achieve a 12% growth rate in total product value; a total retail sales and service revenue of 264 billion VND; and an urbanization rate of 88%.

The locality strives to achieve an average per capita income of 81 million VND/person/year; a multidimensional poverty rate of 1.6%; a forest cover rate of 13.90%; and a 100% rate of online public service provision across all eligible administrative procedures...

Regarding the targets for Party building, the Tinh Bien Ward Party Committee strives for 90% of its subordinate Party branches and 95% of its Party members to complete their tasks well or better; and to consolidate, improve, and develop membership in youth and women's organizations to reach 50% of the population in the eligible age group…
