The General Secretary has passed away, leaving behind a legacy of people's trust in the Party. In 1967, after graduating from the Faculty of Philology, Hanoi University of Science, the General Secretary returned to work at the Study Magazine (now the Communist Magazine) as an officer of the Documentation Department. Later, he became the editor of the Party Building Department of the Communist Magazine. After completing his PhD thesis (now PhD) at the Soviet Academy of Social Sciences, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong returned to the Communist Magazine to continue working and took on the duties of Deputy Head of the Party Building Department, then Head of the Party Building Department of the Magazine, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Secretary of the Communist Magazine Agency Party Committee, Member of the Magazine Editorial Board, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Communist Magazine, then Editor-in-Chief of the Communist Magazine.
