Paris Saint-Germain is making the rest of French football tremble as it continues its strategy of acquiring outstanding young talents from Ligue 1.

This summer, the reigning Champions League champions of the 2024/25 season successfully signed goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier from Lille for €55 million (including add-ons), marking the third consecutive year they have snatched a top star from the league.

With this deal, PSG continues to assert its absolute dominance in Ligue 1, while also strengthening its ambition to maintain its position as the number one club in Europe.

Last season, PSG absolutely dominated Ligue 1, finishing with 84 points, 19 points ahead of second-placed Marseille. Their overwhelming strength compared to the rest of the league meant they were virtually unopposed in the title race.
