PSG into Champions League final.

After the victory over Arsenal, PSG has won the ticket to the Champions League final for the second time. Coach Luis Enrique's team's opponent will be Inter. Before that, the team at Parc des Princes won the Ligue 1 championship and got a ticket to play the National Cup final against Reims on May 25.

PSG are on the verge of becoming the 10th European club to win the treble of the national championship, the National Cup and the Champions League. Previously, only Celtic, Ajax, PSV, Man Utd, Barcelona (twice), Inter, Bayern Munich (twice) and most recently Man City. Notably, one of Barca's two trebles was won under coach Luis Enrique.

PSG's journey in the Champions League this season was quite special, when they defeated 4 Premier League opponents, respectively Man City (League Phase), Liverpool (round of 16), Aston Villa (quarter-finals) and Arsenal (semi-finals).

This season's Champions League final will take place in the early morning of June 1 at the Allianz Arena. Historical statistics support PSG. Previously, every Champions League/European Cup final held at Bayern's home ground saw a new team win the title, respectively Nottingham Forest (1979), Marseille (1993), Borussia Dortmund (1997) and Chelsea (2012).

"Luis Enrique has done extraordinary things. I can't think of a team that has transformed in such a short time like PSG. Today, I want to give credit to Gianluigi Donnarumma. He has performed at the highest level. PSG deserve to be in the final," commented former player Owen Hargreaves.

Sharing the same opinion, Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta said: "Congratulations to PSG. Donnarumma was the best player in the two matches. He made the difference. I am proud of what my students showed."
