Vo Quang Phu Duc's victory brought an explosion of emotion to the people of Hue, as this is the third time the province has had an Olympia champion. This also means that Quang Ninh is no longer the only province to possess three Olympia laurel wreaths.

Phu Duc also set a record for Hue National High School for the Gifted – the first school to have 7 contestants in the Olympia finals and 3 champions. The two previous winners were Ho Ngoc Han (champion in 2009) and Ho Dac Thanh Chuong (champion in 2016).
Speaking to reporters, Phu Duc said he was extremely proud and happy to have brought the record back to the school.
Speaking about the most tense moment in the competition, Phu Duc shared: “That was when Nguyen Phu was only 2 points behind me. I had experienced this before in the quarter-final round. I think the factors that helped me win were my tenacity and smart strategy.”
Phu Duc's strategy was to try to gain an advantage in the Starting Round, while also being decisive in the Obstacle Course Round.
His broad knowledge of various fields helped the male student from Quoc Hoc High School answer all 6 warm-up questions correctly, earning the maximum score. He then went on to answer two more general warm-up questions, creating a significant score difference from the other three contestants.
This strong psychological advantage helped Phu Duc compete confidently and continuously increase his lead in the subsequent rounds.
Learning from his experience in the monthly competition, Phu Duc developed a stable mindset to compete for two hours straight. Notably, the speed at which he pressed the buzzer improved significantly. As a result, he consistently scored the highest points on questions that weren't too difficult and secured a truly convincing overall victory.

Vo Quang Phu Duc was the winner of the first week of January, quarter 3 of the "Road to Olympia" competition. However, in the monthly round, Phu Duc only finished second due to failing in the Obstacle Course round. Three months later, he advanced to the quarterly competition thanks to being the contestant with the second-highest score.
In the quarterly competition, Phu Duc competed against Phan Duy Hung (Son Tay High School, Hanoi ) and won a dramatic victory.
Phu Duc's mother is an agricultural engineer, his father is a mechanical engineer, and his grandparents on both sides are scientists. Phu Duc's mother shared that the 2024 Olympia champion has enjoyed watching the program since first grade and once declared that he would become a contestant in the competition.
