One week, 3 safe bombs are handled |
On November 30, MAG received information that a bomb was discovered near the cultural house of Bai Dinh village. Experts determined that this was a MK11 bomb with a weight of about 1kg and a damage radius of about 81km.
Because the bomb was located in a location that could only be reached by water, MAG's disposal team used a 300ml plastic container to make a raft, then fixed the bomb to the raft and successfully moved it across the river. . This bomb has now been moved to the detonation area.
All three of these dangerous bombs have now been brought to the T92 warehouse of the Quang Binh Provincial Military Command, awaiting centralized destruction this December.
Since the beginning of 2023 until now, MAG has handled 211 missions in Quang Binh, with 285 explosive materials, including 9 large bombs with a mass of over 100kg.
