Quang Ninh experiences a surge in activity on the first day of the holiday.

Following the first day of the Hung Kings Commemoration Day holiday, Quang Ninh province's tourism sector recorded impressive figures with 160,000 visitors and tourism revenue reaching 496 billion VND, thus affirming the strong appeal of key destinations and readiness for the peak summer tourism season.

According to statistics from the authorities, on April 25th, the total number of tourists visiting Quang Ninh reached an estimated 160,000. Of these, domestic tourists accounted for the majority with an estimated 146,620 visits, followed by international tourists at approximately 13,380 visits, with an estimated 65,000 overnight stays. This strong growth in tourist numbers resulted in impressive tourism revenue, estimated at 496 billion VND on the first day of the holiday.

Coastal and island tourism remains a popular choice during this holiday season. Specifically in the Van Don Special Economic Zone, the Ao Tien high-end port recorded a large number of tourists traveling to the islands. On April 25th, 102 ferry trips departed, bringing approximately 13,000 visitors to the islands.

Specifically, the Ao Tien to Co To special zone route continued to be the focal point, attracting over 6,700 passengers with 30 boat trips; the Ao Tien to Quan Lan - Minh Chau island route maintained stable appeal with over 6,000 passengers distributed across both routes; and the Ao Tien to Thanh Lan island (Co To) route welcomed nearly 200 passengers.

On the morning of April 26th, the lively atmosphere continued as Ao Tien port granted permission for an additional 30 boat trips carrying over 3,000 passengers to the islands.

Besides beach and island tourism, Quang Ninh's traditional tourist attractions also recorded a large number of visitors. On April 25th, Ha Long Bay welcomed 14,726 visitors; Uong Bi ward welcomed 22,100; Quang Ninh Museum welcomed 4,867 visitors; Yen Tu complex welcomed 5,989 visitors; Tran Dynasty historical site reached 2,869 visitors; Mong Cai 1 ward welcomed 11,000 visitors to tourist spots such as Tra Co, Sa Vy cape...; and Van Don special economic zone recorded a total of 26,000 visitors.

To accommodate the surge in passengers, authorities have proactively implemented traffic diversion and regulation plans at various points and intersections, and are strictly controlling safety on both waterways and roads.

The posting of ticket prices, weight control, and ensuring security and order on waterways were carried out rigorously. Thanks to thorough preparation, passenger transport operations ran smoothly, without prolonged congestion or unexpected security incidents.

The positive signals from the beginning of the holiday season are an important foundation for Quang Ninh tourism to anticipate a brilliant summer, affirming its position as a key tourism center of the country.
