Quang Tri: The province lets students stay home to avoid the storm, but one school still holds classes.

Despite the document from the People's Committee of Quang Tri province and the Department of Education and Training regarding students being off school to avoid storm No. 10 (storm Bualoi), a private school in this locality still held classes this morning, September 29.

This morning, September 29, speaking with Thanh Nien reporter, Mr. Bui Manh Dung, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Trung Vuong Inter-level School (Nam Dong Ha Ward, Quang Tri Province), said that he still organized for students to go to school, even though there had been previous instructions from the Provincial People's Committee and the Department of Education and Training that students in the whole province were allowed to stay home from school to avoid the storm.

Previously, to cope with storm No. 10 (storm Bualoi), the People's Committee of Quang Tri province and the Department of Education and Training issued a document allowing students in the entire province to stay home from school on September 29. However, this morning, Trung Vuong Inter-level School still organized for students to go to school.

"I know there are documents from the province and the department, and the department has also discussed with me. On the other hand, letting students go to school creates favorable conditions for parents because today they still have to go to work like a normal day," said Mr. Dung.

When asked by Thanh Nien reporters about the responsibility involved if an incident occurs, Mr. Dung said he would take responsibility. According to Mr. Dung, the school decided to let students go to school this morning, September 29, because of "pressure" from parents. Many parents texted the school to ask the school to let students go to school because storm No. 10 did not make landfall in the area.

A representative of the Department of Education and Training of Quang Tri province said that they had contacted Mr. Dung to request that teaching be stopped today, even though the storm had passed but the storm's circulation was still there and there were many unsafe factors, however Mr. Dung did not comply.
