Implementing Regulation 144-QD/TW helps each cadre and party member "self-reflect," "self-correct" and improve themselves, contributing to preventing and repelling degradation in political ideology, ethics and lifestyle.
On May 9, 2024, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong signed and issued Regulation No. 144-QD/TW stipulating revolutionary ethical standards for cadres and party members in the new period.
Fully aware of the meaning and importance of this Regulation in the current period, Lai Chau Provincial Party Committee has led, directed, disseminated and propagated the Regulation to Party committees at all levels, Party organizations, cadres and Party members throughout the province.
Party Central Committee member, Lai Chau Provincial Party Secretary Giang Pao My said that the regulations on revolutionary ethical standards for cadres and party members in the new period are the inheritance of Ho Chi Minh's thought on revolutionary ethics and the Party's previous regulations on Party building and rectification, as well as in personnel work. The promulgation of the regulations comes from practical requirements, demonstrating the Party's great determination in Party building and rectification in general and in building and training cadres and party members in particular.
According to the Secretary of Lai Chau Provincial Party Committee, after the Regulation was issued, the Provincial Party Committee led, directed, disseminated and propagated it to all Party committees, Party organizations, cadres and Party members in the province.
The implementation of this regulation is very important for the Lai Chau Provincial Party Committee, especially at a time when the province is focusing on leading and directing the preparation for Party Congresses at all levels, the 15th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030.
Implementing the Regulations helps each cadre and party member "self-reflect," "self-correct" and improve themselves, contributing to preventing and repelling the degradation of political ideology, ethics and lifestyle among cadres and party members, and building an increasingly clean and strong provincial party organization.
This is also the basis for Party committees and organizations at all levels to evaluate and select cadres, serve the work of planning, appointing cadres, and prepare human resources for the Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term with sufficient leadership capacity, increasingly high fighting strength, and lead the successful implementation of the province's political tasks.
By the end of May 2024, Lai Chau Provincial Party Committee had 12 subordinate party committees, 553 grassroots party organizations (including 181 grassroots party committees and 372 grassroots party cells), 3 departmental party committees, 2,000 party cells directly under the grassroots party committees and departmental party committees.
According to Head of Lai Chau Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department Le Duc Duc, identifying the importance of Regulation 144, the sectors in the ideological-cultural sector, the provincial science and education sector, the propaganda departments of districts, cities, affiliated party committees, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations of the province continue to focus on implementing advisory work, effectively concretizing this regulation.
Sin Ho is a mountainous border district of Lai Chau province, with many difficulties in socio-economic conditions, infrastructure, and people's lives. In recent years, under the collective leadership of the District Party Committee Standing Committee, the district's socio-economic situation has had many positive changes, national defense and security have been maintained and strengthened, people's lives have been improved, awareness of the Party Committee, government and people has been strengthened, and trust in the leadership of the Party Committee has been built.
Besides the positive results, Secretary of Sin Ho District Party Committee Vu A Tien also frankly admitted that there is still a situation where a number of cadres and party members have degraded in political ideology, ethics, and lifestyle, showing signs of "self-evolution" and "self-transformation," which has undermined people's trust in the Party, the State, and the socialist regime.
Since the beginning of the 18th term of the Sin Ho District Party Congress, many district and commune-level leaders have been disciplined for seriously violating regulations on what party members are not allowed to do, violating regulations on setting examples, and being prosecuted for violating the law...
The degradation of political qualities, ethics and lifestyle of a number of cadres and party members in the area in recent times has significantly affected the planning and use of cadres working in state agencies. Therefore, the work of planning and using cadres effectively to meet the increasingly high requirements and tasks in the new situation is always prioritized by the Standing Committee and the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, considering and selecting people with capacity, virtue and talent to structure, arrange and plan in accordance with the capacity of the cadres being planned and appointed.
From that reality, according to the Secretary of the Sin Ho District Party Committee, the promulgation of Regulation 144 has important significance in the new period, aiming at the goal of perfecting the revolutionary ethical standards of each cadre and party member, helping each cadre and party member to "self-reflect," "self-correct," and constantly strive to cultivate and train ethics, professional expertise, and working capacity to meet the requirements of tasks in the new period.
At the same time, Regulation 144 is an important basis for good preparation for personnel work for Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term, towards the 14th National Party Congress.
It can be said that this is an important document, demonstrating innovative thinking, closely following the practical situation, requirements and revolutionary tasks set forth in the new period; is the inheritance, application and creative development of the work "Revolutionary Ethics" by President Ho Chi Minh in the new period./.
