This morning, the National Assembly concluded its 9th session.

On the morning of June 27th, the National Assembly began its final day of work for the 9th session.

According to the agenda, at the beginning of the morning session, the National Assembly held a plenary session in the assembly hall to vote on and pass 7 laws and 7 resolutions.

The seven laws include: the Law on Science , Technology and Innovation; the Law on Atomic Energy (amended); the Law on Railways (amended); the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Credit Institutions; the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Law on Trade Unions, the Law on Youth and the Law on Implementing Democracy at the Grassroots Level; and the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Criminal Procedure Code.

The Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on National Defense, the Law on Officers of the People's Army, the Law on Professional Soldiers, Workers and Civil Servants of the National Defense, the Law on Military Service, the Law on Vietnam Border Guard, the Law on People's Air Defense, the Law on Reserve Mobilization Forces, the Law on Civil Defense, the Law on Management and Protection of National Defense Works and Military Zones, the Law on Militia and Self-Defense Forces, and the Law on National Defense and Security Education.

The seven resolutions include: Resolution on the investment policy for the Quy Nhon - Pleiku expressway construction project; Resolution on the investment policy for the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4 construction project; Resolution on adjusting the investment policy for the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway construction project, phase 1; and Resolution on the International Finance Center in Vietnam.

Resolutions on piloting some specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Hai Phong city; Resolutions on approving the State budget settlement for 2023; Resolutions on the implementation of the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on the Organization of People's Courts, the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on the Organization of People's Procuracies, procedural laws and other relevant laws.

From 10:30 AM, the National Assembly held its closing session (broadcast live on Vietnam Television and Vietnam Radio).

At the closing session, the National Assembly voted to approve: the Resolution on interpellation activities; and the Resolution of the 9th Session of the 15th National Assembly.

The Resolution of the session includes provisions on: the allocation of funds to pay off debts under the responsibility of the Government at the Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (SBIC); the transitional application of some specific mechanisms and policies approved by the National Assembly in some localities after the restructuring of the administrative apparatus and expansion of administrative boundaries according to the Party and State's policy; visa exemption for foreigners belonging to special categories requiring preferential entry into Vietnam; handling of debt recovery from policy credit programs funded by the state budget that have expired at the Social Policy Bank; funding for drug rehabilitation centers and support policies for officials, workers, and employees working in drug rehabilitation; supplementing investment forms for high-speed railway projects on the North-South axis; and solutions to continue implementing planning work associated with the restructuring of administrative units during the period before the promulgation of the amended Planning Law.

Following that, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man delivered the closing remarks for the 9th Session of the 15th National Assembly.
