At the ceremony, Mr. Le Ngoc Quang - Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Director General of Vietnam Television - presented the Decisions on the restructuring and reorganization of VTV News online newspaper and Television Magazine into VTV Times, under Vietnam Television, effective from January 1, 2024; on the promulgation of the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of VTV Times; and the Decisions appointing the Editor-in-Chief and Deputy Editors-in-Chief of VTV Times.
Accordingly, VTV Times has Ms. Vu Thanh Thuy as Editor-in-Chief, and Ms. Nguyen Thi My Hanh and Mr. Pham Quoc Thang as Deputy Editors-in-Chief.

On behalf of the Standing Committee and the leadership of Vietnam Television, General Director Le Ngoc Quang congratulated Ms. Vu Thanh Thuy, Ms. Nguyen Thi My Hanh, and Mr. Pham Quoc Thang on being entrusted by the Standing Committee and the leadership of Vietnam Television to be appointed Editor-in-Chief and Deputy Editor-in-Chief of VTV Times.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Ngoc Quang affirmed that the restructuring and reorganization of VTV News online newspaper and Television Magazine into a single financially independent media agency, VTV Times, is necessary to fulfill the requirements and objectives of the Party and the Government .
General Director Le Ngoc Quang requested that VTV Times, after reorganization, continue to build upon its achievements, begin implementing its goals, and strive to meet the requirements of an autonomous unit.

Mr. Le Ngoc Quang suggested that the leadership of VTV Times should promote a spirit of unity and solidarity within the leadership team, with a spirit of innovation, daring to think, daring to act, and daring to take responsibility.
On behalf of the Editorial Board of VTV Times, Editor-in-Chief Vu Thanh Thuy extended her sincere gratitude to the Standing Committee and leadership of Vietnam Television. Ms. Vu Thanh Thuy affirmed that VTV Times will continue to uphold the core values of VTV News online newspaper and Television Magazine over the past 20 years; and together, united and striving to successfully fulfill its assigned tasks.
VTV Times was established on January 1, 2024, through the restructuring of VTV News online newspaper and Television Magazine. Operating as a converged newsroom, VTV Times publishes both online and print media, in Vietnamese and English.
