At the ceremony, Mr. Le Ngoc Quang - Member of the Party Central Committee, General Director of VTV presented the Decisions on the arrangement and reorganization of VTV News Electronic Newspaper and Television Magazine into VTV Times under Vietnam Television from January 1, 2024; on the promulgation of functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of VTV Times and the Decisions on the appointment of the Editor-in-Chief and Deputy Editors-in-Chief of VTV Times.
Accordingly, VTV Times has Editor-in-Chief Ms. Vu Thanh Thuy, Deputy Editors-in-Chief Ms. Nguyen Thi My Hanh and Mr. Pham Quoc Thang.

On behalf of the Standing Committee and leaders of VTV, General Director Le Ngoc Quang congratulated Ms. Vu Thanh Thuy, Ms. Nguyen Thi My Hanh and Mr. Pham Quoc Thang on being trusted by the Standing Committee and leaders of VTV to carry out the appointment process of Editor-in-Chief and Deputy Editor-in-Chief of VTV Times.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Ngoc Quang affirmed that the arrangement and reorganization of VTV News Electronic Newspaper and Television Magazine into a financially autonomous press agency, VTV Times, is necessary to fulfill the requirements and goals of the Party and Government .
General Director Le Ngoc Quang requested that after the reorganization, VTV Times needs to continue promoting the achievements it has made, start implementing its goals, and strive to meet the requirements of an autonomous unit.

Mr. Le Ngoc Quang suggested that the leadership of VTV Times promote the spirit of solidarity and unanimity within the leadership team with the spirit of innovation, daring to think, daring to do, and daring to take responsibility.
On behalf of the VTV Times Editorial Board, Editor-in-Chief Vu Thanh Thuy expressed her sincere thanks to the Standing Committee and leaders of Vietnam Television. Ms. Vu Thanh Thuy affirmed that VTV Times will continue to promote the core values of VTV News Online Newspaper and Television Magazine over the past 20 years; together unite and strive to successfully complete the assigned tasks.
VTV Times was established on the basis of rearranging and reorganizing VTV News Online Newspaper and Television Magazine from January 1, 2024. With a converged editorial model, VTV Times operates two types of journalism: online and print, in Vietnamese and English.
