On the morning of December 20th, the People's Committee of Thien Cam commune mobilized local forces to organize a cleanup campaign to improve the environment of Thien Cam beach.
Accordingly, the People's Committee of Thien Cam commune mobilized nearly 1,000 people to participate in cleaning and sanitizing the environment of Thien Cam beach.
The participating forces include: officials, civil servants, and workers from the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee of the commune; the commune police; the Thien Cam Border Guard Station; Party committees, village committees, and people from all villages in the commune; and restaurants and hotels operating in the Thien Cam Tourist Area.
After collection, waste is sorted and processed according to regulations, ensuring environmental hygiene.
In addition to collecting and disposing of waste, the forces also restored and re-erected the green spaces and structures that had been damaged.
In just one morning, a nearly 3km stretch of Thien Cam beach (from the foot of Thien Cam mountain to the Phon Vinh restaurant) was cleaned, ensuring environmental hygiene and aesthetic appeal for the Thien Cam tourist area.
Following recent storms, large quantities of waste have accumulated on the beach. To maintain its aesthetic appeal and prepare for tourism activities welcoming the new year 2026, the People's Committee of the commune launched a comprehensive beach cleanup campaign. At the end of the campaign, the participating forces collected and processed over 4 tons of various types of waste.
Alongside environmental cleanup efforts, the People's Committee of the commune is currently directing accommodation establishments and restaurants to focus on renovating and replenishing their stock to serve tourists during the upcoming New Year and Lunar New Year holidays.
