Rapper Pháo competes in beauty pageant.

On May 21st, the organizers of Miss Grand Vietnam announced the application of Pháo (real name Nguyễn Diệu Huyền). The female rapper is introduced as the runner-up of "King Of Rap," possessing many outstanding musical works and having participated in various artistic activities.

Immediately after the information was posted, the article introducing Pháo on the competition's fanpage received thousands of interactions and hundreds of comments discussing the 2003-born female rapper's foray into the music industry.

Rapper Pháo caused a surprise by entering Miss Grand Vietnam 2026.

Sharing her reasons for deciding to register for a beauty pageant, Pháo said she didn't want to regret later that she hadn't tried her hand at a new field.

"I decided to participate in Miss Grand Vietnam 2026 so that I wouldn't have any regrets when I'm older, or have to ask myself why I didn't do this sooner," the female rapper shared.

Pháo also spoke candidly about the time she felt insecure about her appearance and her own limitations. According to her, instead of letting that hold her back, she chose to change, learn, and improve every day.

"Many negative comments or doubts can sometimes become motivation to improve and seize better opportunities in life," she added.

Pháo, whose real name is Nguyễn Diệu Huyền, was born in 2003 in Tuyên Quang province. She began pursuing music in 2018 and quickly gained attention when she participated in the "King of Rap 2020" program, winning the runner-up position.

The female rapper's name became widely known in 2021 thanks to her song "2 Minutes More". This hit garnered hundreds of millions of views and listens on online platforms, and created a global viral effect on TikTok. The song also appeared on the Shazam charts in many countries and was remixed with international rapper Tyga.

Following the success of "2 Minutes More," Pháo became one of the most prominent female rappers of the Gen Z generation. She continuously appeared in numerous music programs and international festivals, and was highly praised for her unique style and songwriting abilities.

In her artistic career, the female rapper was nominated for "New Artist of the Year" at the 2021 Dedication Music Awards and was among the top 5 nominees for "Female Singer of the Year" in 2024.

Besides music, Pháo has also tried her hand at many other fields. She participated in "The Heroes 2022", "Sao Nhập Ngũ 2024", appeared in the program "Em xinh say hi", and played the lead female role of Nhật Hạ in the movie "Thỏ ơi".
