Forecasts indicate that tonight and early tomorrow morning (May 22nd), the northern provinces will continue to experience rain, heavy to very heavy rain, with accumulated rainfall generally ranging from 5-20mm, and in some places exceeding 40mm. Specifically in Phu Tho province, rainfall will range from 20-40mm, with some areas exceeding 60mm. There is a risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams, and landslides on slopes in many communes/wards in the area.
