Robots, equipment and Vietnamese technological achievements at the Exhibition on September 2

Humanoid robots and military equipment are outstanding achievements of Vietnam's technology industry at the Exhibition "80 Years of Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness".

The exhibition “80 years of the Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness” opened on the morning of August 28 at the National Exhibition and Fair Center (Dong Anh, Hanoi). Visitors to the exhibition can interact with a humanoid robot developed by VinMotion, a subsidiary of Vingroup . The robot is capable of walking, waving and communicating with gestures. This product marks a major step forward for Vingroup in the high-tech field, opening up the hope of bringing Vietnam into the global robot race.

VinMotion said that in the first phase, robots will be deployed at VinFast 's manufacturing plants, supporting component transportation, quality inspection and repetitive operations on the assembly line.

VinMotion was established in early 2025 with a charter capital of VND1,000 billion , of which Vingroup holds 51%. In the medium and long term, the company aims to develop smarter robot lines capable of communication, image processing and natural language.

Another Vingroup humanoid robot at the exhibition, developed by VinRobotics. The robot is equipped with 31 motors, weighs 75 kg and is 1.78 m tall, using rotating joints to simulate human movements and gestures. The robot's battery is integrated on its back and can be replaced without turning off or restarting.

VinRobotics was established in November 2024 with the same charter capital as VinMotion, focusing on researching and manufacturing industrial robots integrated with artificial intelligence (AI). VinRobotics' products not only serve the internal ecosystem, but also target key industries.

Viettel brought to the exhibition a series of civil and military technology equipment, including radar systems (photo). Products from Viettel were introduced in the display areas of the Ministry of National Defense, Ministry of Science & Technology, Ministry of Construction and Hanoi People's Committee.

At the outdoor exhibition area, Viettel displayed many military technologies developed by the group itself, such as the VTRV-01 missile loading vehicle or the VCPV-01 combat command vehicle, part of the Truong Son Missile Complex.

The 5P73-VT launcher was researched and improved by Viettel. The system has the function of fixing the missile on the platform, directing the missile towards the target, supplying power, providing signals to prepare the missile on the launcher, and automatically executing the missile launch command according to the control signal from the UNK-VT vehicle.

Smart patrol robots appeared at the exhibition area of ​​the Ministry of Public Security. Some of the modern equipment displayed by the Ministry of Public Security also included UAVs, vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) unmanned aerial vehicles... serving reconnaissance and rescue activities.

The exhibition gathered about 200 enterprises with products that made a mark on the market. FPT Corporation brought smart AI solutions, AI learning platforms... Meanwhile, Petrovietnam introduced jack-up rigs designed by domestic engineers. In the automobile sector, VinFast, TC Group, Thaco... were present, reflecting the rapid progress of the Vietnamese automobile industry.
