On the islands, for the past few days, naval officers and soldiers have been taking advantage of their free time outside of training to join youth union members, women's association members, and families in decorating the stage, hanging flags, flowers, balloons... and preparing the sound and lighting systems for the children's festival.

On Sinh Ton Island, officers, soldiers, and their families cleaned up the environment, decorated the assembly hall, practiced performing arts, and prepared gifts for the children. Many group games, interactive activities, and quizzes with prizes were designed to suit the age group, creating a healthy and beneficial playground for the children. “For the officers, soldiers, and people on the island, caring for the children is not only a responsibility but also a special affection for the young generation in this island region. We hope that through these activities on the occasion of June 1st, we will bring the children much joy, helping them feel the concern of the Party Committee, the unit commanders, and the affection of the people nationwide towards Truong Sa,” shared Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Van Cuong, Political Officer of Sinh Ton Island.

On Song Tu Tay and Da Tay islands, officers and soldiers actively completed the stages, playgrounds, and special cultural performances. Youth organizations and women's associations on the islands participated in cutting and pasting models, making handicrafts, and preparing small gifts for the children. Many gifts, congratulatory letters, and school supplies sent from the mainland were received and carefully arranged to be handed directly to the children on June 1st.

According to the leaders of the Truong Sa Special Administrative Region People's Committee, this year's Children's Day celebration on the islands will feature a variety of activities such as: performing arts, group singing and dancing, painting competitions, folk games, democratic flower picking, cultural and artistic exchanges, and gift giving for children. Besides recreational activities, the islands also focus on educational programs to help children understand more about the traditions of the Navy, love for the homeland's seas and islands, and awareness of protecting the sacred sovereignty of the Fatherland. Many meticulously prepared exchange activities between children and naval officers and soldiers aim to foster connection and demonstrate the deep concern of the Party committees and commanders of the units for the spiritual lives of the children of officers, soldiers, and people on the islands.

The laughter, chatter, and singing of children practicing for cultural performances echoing across the islands of the Truong Sa Special Zone have contributed to making the remote islands even warmer and more affectionate, demonstrating love, sharing, and the determination to build Truong Sa into an increasingly strong force at the forefront of the nation's defense.
