The Cau Bong Festival is bustling with activity.

This year, the Cau Bong Festival featured traditional rituals and activities honoring the Tra Que vegetable farming industry, as well as receiving the Best Tourist Village Award from the United Nations Tourism Organization (UN Tourism).

Within the framework of the festival, spiritual rituals are prepared and performed by the village elders in accordance with the ancient customs of the village.

According to the People's Committee of Cam Ha commune, from erecting the ceremonial pole on the 24th day of the 12th lunar month (January 23), welcoming the deity to the altar and performing the ritual on the 6th day of the 1st lunar month (February 3), organizing the offering and worship of the God of Agriculture on the 7th day of the 1st lunar month (February 4); to writing the ceremonial text, selecting the chief worshipper, the left and right chief worshippers, the ceremonial team, the person reading the text, the person chanting the prayers... everything is meticulously and solemnly prepared.

At this year's Cau Bong festival in Tra Que village, villagers prepared offerings and participated in lively folk activities such as: the Bai Choi folk game, lion and dragon dance performances, a competition demonstrating how to hoe and plant vegetables, and a culinary competition...

On this occasion, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoi An City presented the award for Best Tourist Village of 2024, honored by UN Tourism, to the representative of Tra Que vegetable village.

The leaders of the Hoi An City People's Committee affirmed that the locality will continue to organize activities to inform and introduce Tra Que vegetable village - the best tourist village of 2024 by the United Nations Tourism Organization - to the people and tourists.

At the same time, it promotes the value and influence of an award that belongs to the community; creating motivation for the community and villagers to continue preserving and promoting indigenous cultural values, improving livelihoods, and enhancing social life in the locality.

The Cau Bong Festival, held annually in Tra Que village, has now been elevated to a city-level event in Hoi An.

This is an occasion to express the reverence of people who live in harmony with nature and to show gratitude for the merits of their ancestors; at the same time, it expresses the dreams and aspirations for a prosperous and good life based on the efforts, creativity, and hard work of the inhabitants of this land.
