This year's Tet flower market sees kumquats and peach blossoms as the two main types of plants, appearing in abundance from traditional markets to large flower stalls.

Besides common peach trees and kumquat trees that cater to the needs of most people, many nurseries also offer ancient peach trees that have been meticulously cultivated and shaped. Some of these trees can fetch prices of up to nearly 90 million VND, attracting the attention of bonsai enthusiasts and affluent customers.

Notably, many nurseries invest heavily in display arrangements. Potted plants are placed in elaborately carved wooden pedestals or pots, creating an overall look that is both rustic and elegant.

The ancient-looking peach trees of Sa Pa, with their naturally blooming flowers and characteristic pale pink color, offer a unique and refreshing feel, making them a popular choice for decorating spaces during Tet (Vietnamese New Year).

Besides peach blossoms and kumquats, the Tet flower market is also rich with many types of flowers and ornamental plants that symbolize good fortune. Wild banana blossoms, with their vibrant red color and tall stature, are favored by many families for their warm, prosperous feeling and wishes for wealth and good luck at the beginning of the year.

The papaya tree symbolizes a prosperous and abundant life.

Orchids are also a particularly sought-after item during Tet (Lunar New Year). Carefully cultivated pots of exquisite orchids, with evenly blooming flowers and a delicate fragrance, can cost from 6 to 20 million VND per pot, depending on the number of plants.

Meanwhile, phalaenopsis orchids remain very popular, with prices ranging from 190,000 to 300,000 VND per plant, suitable for a wide range of customers.

At this time of year, those working in orchid arrangement and flower decoration are busier than ever. Thanks to the increased demand, many can earn several million dong per day, contributing to the vibrancy of the Tet flower market.

At the flower markets, the atmosphere is bustling with shopping, signaling a warm, prosperous, and hopeful Tet holiday season.
