Ronaldo misses out on the best player of the season award.

It wasn't Cristiano Ronaldo, but Joao Felix who was honored with the Best Player award in the Saudi Pro League 2025/26 season.

Felix's individual award was announced just one day after Al Nassr were crowned champions of the Saudi Pro League 2025/26. In the decisive match, coach Jorge Jesus's team defeated Damac 4-1 to finish the season two points ahead of their rivals Al Hilal.

Ronaldo continued to demonstrate his immense influence by scoring a brace in this crucial match. These two goals brought the 41-year-old superstar's total in the tournament to 28, and secured his first major title since moving to Saudi Arabia at the end of 2022.

However, Felix was named the winner in the most prestigious individual category. The former Chelsea player scored 20 goals and led the league in assists with 13. His all-around performance helped him surpass Julian Quinones and Ivan Toney in the race for the award.

Speaking after the championship win, Felix said that the trust from coach Jorge Jesus was a crucial factor in his success: “I am happy to be playing in my preferred position. The coach gave me the confidence to lead the game and become the center of the team.”

Meanwhile, Jesus also received the Coach of the Season award. The Portuguese manager confirmed he will leave Al Nassr after achieving his goal of helping Ronaldo win a title in Saudi Arabia.

As for Ronaldo, he ended the 2025/26 season with Al Nassr without winning any individual awards. The SPL top scorer award went to Quinones with 33 goals, 5 more than Ronaldo.
