My childhood was in Viet Tri in the 1980s. There weren't many high-rise buildings, no streetlights in the narrow alleys, no brightly lit shops every evening... After more than 40 years, I stand here on the highest floor of the city, looking at Viet Tri with joyful eyes. Viet Tri at night is now sparkling and vibrant with color.
From high vantage points or park corners, the streets seem to be illuminated by a thousand stars. I see streams of people and vehicles "flowing" along the streets with the bustling rhythm of rush hour.
The weather was in late autumn, early winter; Van Lang Park was windy, and the cable-stayed bridge spanning the lake looked from afar like a sail billowing in the wind, carrying with it aspirations for the city's development.
...Every street and every corner of the city at night has its own unique colors. Nguyen Tat Thanh Street is lined with fragrant milkwood trees, Hoa Phong Street stretches out with shady rows of royal palm trees, and Truong Chinh Street is lined with palm trees characteristic of the midland region...
Those who return to Viet Tri after a long time are always surprised by the changes in the city. The hustle and bustle and the dazzling lights at night create a feeling of a modern, vibrant, and lively Viet Tri.
