The final days

This school year, Ha Hoa High School has over 300 12th-grade students participating in the 2026 high school graduation exam. To date, 100% of students have completed their exam registration on the Ministry of Education and Training 's (MOET) system. The school has proactively implemented all directives from the MOET, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Department of Education and Training regarding exam regulations and exam organization guidelines to all staff, teachers, students, and parents. In particular, to ensure students have a solid foundation of knowledge and skills for the exam, the school has focused on organizing graduation exam preparation from the beginning of the school year, assigning subject teachers to develop weekly and session-by-session review plans, focusing on specific review topics and closely following the exam structure. Simultaneously, the school has strictly adhered to regulations regarding supplementary tutoring. During the review process, teachers focus on reinforcing fundamental knowledge, strengthening test-taking skills, and differentiating students to ensure effective review. In addition to classroom review sessions, subject teachers also assign homework, enhance students' self-study skills, and provide online support when students need assistance. Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Principal of Ha Hoa High School, shared: "To achieve good results in the 2026 high school graduation exam, the school's management regularly reminds students to uphold the spirit of self-study and self-review, systematically review basic knowledge, and allocate review time for each subject scientifically and reasonably. From now until the exam, the school requires subject teachers and homeroom teachers to coordinate with families to strengthen student management and utilize time effectively for review to achieve the best possible results."

In line with the educational reform requirements, Thanh Son High School has implemented many innovative solutions in exam preparation for 12th-grade students, aiming to improve the quality of learning and develop students' abilities. For the 2025-2026 school year, the school has 1,422 students, including 441 12th-grade students – the group directly participating in the 2026 high school graduation exam. The school is innovating its exam preparation methods to develop competencies, gradually reducing one-way knowledge transmission and increasing the organization of active learning activities such as group discussions, problem-solving, and thematic exam practice. Teachers focus on guiding students in self-study methods, exam analysis skills, time management, and handling application-based question types. Simultaneously, student differentiation is implemented, with the school organizing review classes according to ability groups and developing appropriate teaching content and methods. According to Principal Bui Vinh Tuy, promoting the application of information technology in exam preparation provides many advantages for both teachers and students. Teachers use online learning platforms, question banks, and assessment software to assign homework, grade papers, and provide timely feedback. Students can proactively review anytime, anywhere, thereby improving learning efficiency. In addition, the school participates in quality assessments organized by the Department of Education and Training and collaborates with other high schools in the cluster to organize rigorous mock exams closely aligned with the sample questions. This allows for accurate assessment of students' abilities, learning from experience in teaching, and adjusting review plans.

Many students feel increasingly stressed as the exam day approaches. Despite being prepared and having their minds processed by teachers, many still experience anxiety. The support and encouragement of parents are crucial at this time, helping children feel confident and reducing pressure. Ms. Do Thi Hoang Huong (Viet Tri ward), whose child is in 12th grade, said: “Many nights I worry that my child will get sick from studying late into the night. Therefore, I prioritize cooking dishes my child likes, maintaining a regular eating habit, and not skipping meals. My husband and I have agreed not to put pressure on our child regarding choosing a university or major, but to let them feel comfortable and confident in making choices based on their abilities and interests.”

Aiming for a safe, serious, and compliant examination.

2026 marks the first year that Phu Tho province will organize a large-scale high school graduation exam after the merger. The province has 48,185 registered candidates, including 37,769 12th-grade high school students, 8,094 continuing education students, and 2,322 independent candidates. To facilitate the exam, the province has arranged 110 examination centers in 84 communes and wards with approximately 1,962 examination rooms. More than 7,100 officials, teachers, staff, police officers, and medical personnel are participating in invigilation duties, along with over 1,100 reserve personnel.

The large scale, vast geographical area, numerous mountainous regions, difficult transportation, and the risk of flooding and landslides place high demands on preparation. Recognizing this, the province established a Provincial Examination Steering Committee comprising 121 members, assigning specific tasks to each department, sector, and locality to ensure that all stages of the examination are implemented synchronously and rigorously. Immediately after its establishment, the Provincial Examination Steering Committee held meetings to finalize the plan for directing and managing the examination; and simultaneously assigned specific tasks to relevant units. The communes and wards where examination centers are located also proactively developed plans for coordinating the examination, preparing the necessary conditions regarding security and order, transportation, electricity, water, healthcare, disaster prevention, and fire safety.

The Department of Education and Training has issued all necessary documents guiding the organization of exam registration, graduation recognition, university and college admissions, and preparation for the exam. Exam registration has been implemented seriously and scientifically at 168 registration units. To date, all units have completed the review of applications and verification of candidate information in accordance with regulations. To help students familiarize themselves with the regulations and the pressure of the exam room, the Department of Education and Training has organized two quality assessment surveys for 12th-grade students, following the exact procedures of the high school graduation exam in all stages, from printing and copying exam papers to invigilation and marking. Through this, not only students but also the management staff and teachers have been able to practice and improve their skills in handling situations during the exam.

Along with professional work, thorough training on exam regulations was implemented. All officials and teachers participating in the exam were fully briefed on the regulations and procedures for supervising the exam; updated on new aspects of this year's exam, especially skills in identifying and preventing cheating using high-tech equipment. Security and safety for the exam were also given special attention. The Provincial Police developed a plan to ensure absolute safety in the areas for printing and copying exam papers, transporting exam papers and answer sheets, the grading area, and the exam sites; and proactively monitored the situation to prevent cheating and the dissemination of false information on social media. The Health sector prepared sufficient personnel, medicines, and equipment to serve healthcare, disease prevention, and handling any arising situations. The Construction sector coordinated the review of transportation routes and areas at risk of landslides and flooding to develop response plans, ensuring convenient and safe travel for candidates.

The knowledge gained, thorough preparation, along with confidence and determination, will further motivate the candidates to confidently enter the exam, firmly overcome this challenge, and open new doors to their future.
