Ms. Dinh Thi Hien, manager of the Nam Tran Hung Dao swimming pool (Phu Ly ward), said: "From mid-May, when students had finished their end-of-year exams, the swimming pool attracted a large number of people, not only children but also adults. Especially on hot days, when temperatures reached 38-40 degrees Celsius, the number of visitors to the swimming pool increased significantly, with the busiest time being from 3 PM to 8 PM. Ensuring safety at the swimming pool is always considered a crucial requirement, so the pool has strictly implemented safety regulations and drowning prevention measures during operation. There are always at least two lifeguards on duty at the pool, and there are markers indicating the water depth around the pool area, along with lifebuoys placed along the pool..."
According to our survey, this year the entrance fee to the swimming pool has increased slightly compared to last year. The entrance fee for the Nam Tran Hung Dao swimming pool is 40,000 VND per adult and 30,000 VND per child. Monthly passes for children and adults range from 700,000 to 1,000,000 VND per month. The Nam Tran Hung Dao swimming pool has three pools: two smaller pools for children under 6 years old, and one larger pool for teenagers and adults. For the past three years, the pool has been upgraded with a roof, general swimming pool regulations, warning signs, shower areas, changing rooms, and a water treatment system that meets regulations.

The Tan Thuy swimming pool (Phu Van ward) has been bustling with swimmers these days. Observations show that there are 2-3 lifeguards regularly guiding and reminding swimmers, especially children, about safety. Lifeguard To Xuan Tien shared: "In the mornings, there are fewer customers, but in the afternoons, especially between 3 PM and 6 PM, the number is quite high. Besides the spacious surrounding area and its large size of about 600 square meters, customers can comfortably swim here. The pool provides free life jackets and swimming floats for safety, along with a movable sunshade system when needed." It is known that the Tan Thuy swimming pool is one of many high-quality pools with regularly filtered water, ensuring clean water quality, so it attracts a steady stream of swimmers.

Ms. Nguyen Thu Huong (Phu Van ward), whose two grandsons, in grades 2 and 4, participate in swimming lessons here, said: "Every summer, my family is usually busy with business. To create a productive summer break, away from phones, TVs, and video games, after the children finish their end-of-year exams, along with finding a place for them to take summer classes in academic subjects, my family registers them for swimming lessons. This is a way to guide them towards healthy sports activities, while also improving their health, life skills, and preventing drowning."
Nguyen Ngoc Minh, a student from Tran Phu Secondary School (Phu Ly ward), shared: "I often go swimming at the Nam Tran Hung Dao swimming pool. My parents bought me a monthly pass, so whenever I'm not busy with schoolwork, I come here. I really like this sport because learning to swim not only helps us improve our health and equip us with skills to prevent and respond to drowning, but also gives us a productive summer."

Recognizing swimming as an important skill, many parents have sought out swimming lessons for their children. Responding to this demand, many swimming pools offer private swimming lessons for children. Ms. Pham Thi Sam, a swimming instructor at Tan Thuy swimming pool, said: "I am a physical education teacher, and during the summer break, I opened swimming classes for children. Most swimming pools are equipped with rescue equipment, have lifeguards on duty, and regularly guide and remind children about safe swimming. Many children, when they first come to the pool, some are hesitant to go into the water, and some don't know the swimming techniques, but after just a few lessons, the children overcome their fear and progress quickly. During the course, children learn basic swimming techniques such as breaststroke and butterfly… After about 10-15 lessons, many children are proficient swimmers and have the skills to cope with dangerous situations in the water."
Not only the swimming pools in Phu Ly and Phu Van wards, but also many other communes, wards, and recreational areas throughout the province have begun opening their doors to welcome visitors during the summer. The vibrancy of these swimming pools each summer not only meets the needs of children for swimming lessons and recreation but also contributes to the healthy development of recreational activities during the summer, thereby creating a relaxed environment for children to enter the new school year with better results.
