This morning, students in Da Nang began their 10th grade entrance exam.

On the morning of May 23rd, more than 43,500 candidates in Da Nang City officially began taking the Literature exam, the first subject of the 10th grade high school entrance exam for the 2026-2027 school year.

This is considered the largest-scale 10th-grade entrance exam ever held in Da Nang City after its administrative boundary expansion.

From early morning, at 110 examination centers across the city, a large number of candidates were present to calm their nerves, check their exam room information, and prepare for the exam. Volunteer youth, police, medical personnel, and invigilators were fully deployed at the examination centers to support candidates, manage traffic flow, and ensure security and order. Accompanying the students in this year's exam, the Da Nang City Youth Union established 122 "Exam Support Teams" with nearly 2,000 volunteers stationed at 110 examination centers to support over 43,500 candidates.

Volunteer teams carried out many practical activities such as distributing free drinking water and school supplies, assisting in transporting disadvantaged or inexperienced candidates, coordinating traffic flow, and guiding parents at examination sites.

Prior to the exams, the "Exam Support Program" implemented various activities to provide psychological support and accompany students, such as direct counseling through the "Mindcare - Mental Support Station" program series, online counseling on social media platforms, and introducing free and reputable online study channels.

Many communication activities, such as the "Say Hi Exam Season" contest and the "Exam Season Memory Station" model, have also been implemented to spread a positive spirit and encourage candidates to confidently enter the exam.

This year, Da Nang City has 46,039 junior high school graduates, of which 43,567 registered to take the 10th grade entrance exam, reaching approximately 91%. The total enrollment quota for public and continuing education 10th grade is 39,905 students, expected to meet about 91% of the registered candidates.

To facilitate the exam, Da Nang City mobilized more than 10,000 personnel to participate in organizing, supervising the exam, ensuring security, medical services, electricity and water supply, fire prevention and control, and supporting candidates. In addition to the 110 official exam locations, the Education Department also arranged 6 backup exam locations and 7 locations specifically for candidates taking the exam for specialized schools.

According to Le Thi Bich Thuan, Director of the Da Nang Department of Education and Training, the education sector has instructed examination centers to fully prepare facilities, strictly implement examination regulations, and strengthen psychological support for students. Examination staff have been instilled with a sense of responsibility, objectivity, and adherence to regulations.

In parallel with its professional duties, the Department of Education and Training closely coordinates with the City Police and other relevant departments and agencies to ensure traffic safety, public order and security, fire prevention, and to prevent high-tech cheating during the exam.

On May 23rd, in the afternoon, candidates continued to take the Foreign Language exam. On the morning of May 24th, candidates took the Mathematics exam; however, candidates applying to specialized schools will take their specialized subject exam on May 25th.

According to the plan, the results of the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2026-2027 school year in Da Nang City will be announced no later than June 10, 2026. This year's exam is not only large-scale but also a test of the organizational and coordination capabilities of various sectors and localities in ensuring a safe, serious, and fair exam for students throughout the city.
