This is an important part of the new recruit training program, aimed at assessing the soldiers' weapon handling skills, psychological resilience, and technical proficiency after nearly three months of enlistment.

Recently, a delegation from Military Region 7 inspected the organizational preparations at the Gia Dinh Regiment. The delegation conducted a comprehensive review of the training plan system, technical and logistical support, medical plans, and safety conditions at the training ground.

The assessment focuses on organizational and operational skills, problem-solving abilities, and overall readiness before the official inspection.

During a direct inspection at the shooting range, Colonel Nguyen Hai Nam, Deputy Chief of Staff of Military Region 7, highly praised the unit's proactive approach in preparation. The unit developed well-structured and scientific organizational plans, and the training models, targets, and weapons were fully prepared. Field mobilization, medical support, rescue, and safety measures were implemented rigorously.

According to the inspection team, a noteworthy point is that the unit has maintained a practical training routine, adhering strictly to the motto "basic, practical, and solid," while also focusing on psychological preparation for new recruits before tests involving explosives and live ammunition.

The comrade requested that agencies and units continue to thoroughly review areas with shortcomings in order to promptly rectify them, emphasized the need to strictly maintain discipline on the training ground, closely manage the morale of the troops, and absolutely prevent any safety incidents during the inspection process.

"New recruits must master the fundamental movements, remain calm and confident when practicing each exercise. Training officers need to closely monitor the training ground, provide timely guidance and correction, and prevent soldiers from becoming complacent or violating safety rules," Colonel Nam emphasized.

Also during this period, a delegation from the Ho Chi Minh City Command, led by Major General Phan Quoc Viet, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the Ho Chi Minh City Command, directly inspected the "three explosions" training at the Phu My Hung shooting range.

Here, the model team of the Gia Dinh Regiment practiced shooting AK submachine guns (exercise 1), throwing grenades accurately over long distances, and packaging and detonating explosives. This was an important preparatory step to standardize the organizational process, operational methods, and to learn from experience before deploying it simultaneously to all units.

According to the inspection team's assessment, the soldiers participating in the demonstration team performed the movements quite skillfully, strictly adhering to commands and field regulations. Coordination between the support staff, medical personnel, technical staff, and operational officers was implemented synchronously.

Major General Phan Quoc Viet acknowledged the sense of responsibility of the officers and soldiers participating in the training, and at the same time requested agencies and units to continue to closely standardize the inspection process, improve the quality of management, and ensure absolute safety.

"The three explosions are simply a technical test and a milestone in evaluating the training process for new recruits' courage, willpower, and military conduct after their training period," Major General Viet said.

According to the plan, this year's "Three Explosions" test will include mandatory shooting, grenade throwing, and handling explosives. These are demanding skills in technique, psychology, and real-life situation handling.

Under the scorching sun of the training ground, each soldier diligently practices every aiming movement, grenade throwing posture, or the handling and tying of explosives. Behind each exercise lies the requirement for accuracy, composure, and discipline—core elements that form the character of a soldier in a modern, regular military environment.
