Total output exceeds 1 million tons.
By the end of 2025, the province had developed 328,650 hectares of coffee, achieving a total production of 1,028,393 tons, representing increases of 6.73% and 19.92% respectively compared to 2020. Overall, during the 2020-2025 period, the area of newly planted coffee decreased by 37.02%, but the area of coffee in production still grew by 8.3%. Thanks to the intensified coffee replanting program, grafting and improvement of new varieties, and the application of sustainable farming practices, the average harvest yield increased by 10.56%, equivalent to more than 3.3 tons of coffee beans per hectare.
According to a report by the Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection, coffee-growing areas are currently stable with nearly 60,000 hectares intercropped with other fruit trees and industrial crops; nearly 119,000 hectares have been granted sustainable production certifications such as VietGAP, 4C, UTZ, Rainforest, and organic; and 517 hectares are under geographical indication for specialty products with dozens of registered trademarks for intellectual property protection, including the brand "Da Lat - A miraculous essence from fertile land".
In particular, implementing the Coffee Replanting Program for the period 2021-2025, the entire province achieved a total area of over 45,644 hectares, equivalent to 85.07% of the plan. Specifically, this includes: replanting 25,084 hectares of new Robusta coffee and grafting/improvement of over 20,135 hectares; and replanting 425 hectares of new Arabica coffee. The structure of the replanting and grafting/improvement seedlings mainly consists of coffee varieties recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment such as TR4, TR9, Vine coffee, and Green dwarf (TS5)... In addition, the Department of Agriculture and Environment organized 560 training courses, transferring new technical processes in intensive coffee replanting, attracting tens of thousands of farmers in key coffee-growing areas in the province to participate.

As a result, the entire province achieved a total area of nearly 38,180 hectares of water-saving irrigated coffee, yielding high productivity and quality. Simultaneously, six coffee production zones applying high-tech agriculture were recognized, with a total area of nearly 2,268.5 hectares; and over 435 hectares of coffee were granted planting zone codes.
Mobilize multiple resources
Significantly, the intensive coffee replanting program, giai đoạn 2020 - 2025, has mobilized numerous resources throughout the province, including disbursing over 652.7 billion VND in preferential credit funds. In coordination with the Western Highlands Agricultural and Forestry Science Institute and major branded coffee enterprises, nearly 5.2 million high-yield, high-quality coffee seedlings have been provided to farmers for replanting. In terms of output, the province has established and developed 65 production, processing, and consumption linkage chains, attracting 117 cooperatives, 32 cooperative groups, 34 enterprises, and nearly 30,000 farming households cultivating a total coffee area of 55,468 hectares.

Recently, the Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection launched the Intensive Coffee Replanting Program, giai đoạn 2026 - 2030, with a total area of 25,000 hectares, focusing on coffee trees over 20 years old, with low yields and heavily infected with rust and nematodes in key coffee-growing areas: Di Linh, Bao Lam, Lam Ha, Dak Mil, Tuy Duc, and Krong No. Accordingly, the replanting phase until 2030 aims to achieve 24,740 hectares of new Robusta coffee planting and grafting; and 260 hectares of new Arabica coffee planting.
The priority solutions involve using recognized coffee varieties for replanting, such as TR4, TR9, TRS1, Dây, TS5, TN1, and TN2, increasing the proportion of standard varieties to 80-90%. Simultaneously, the application of advanced technical processes in intensive coffee cultivation, such as IPM and water-saving irrigation, will be promoted. In particular, support will continue to cover 50% of the cost of coffee seeds and fertilizers for poor households and ethnic minority households; and the mobilization of budget funds, ODA, and preferential credit will be integrated.

The goal is to continue replanting aging coffee plantations with new varieties, combined with promoting the application of science and technology, not only to increase the added value of Lam Dong's coffee industry, but also to protect land, water, and ecological resources, and to adapt to the European Union's Regulation on Deforestation and Forest Degradation (EUDR).
The province currently has nearly 38,180 hectares of coffee plantations using water-saving irrigation methods, achieving high yields and quality; 6 coffee production zones applying high-tech agriculture with a total area of nearly 2,268.5 hectares; and over 435 hectares of coffee plantations have been granted planting zone codes.
