(Dan Tri Newspaper) - Following a school afternoon snack on March 25th, several students at two campuses of a private school system in Ho Chi Minh City had to be hospitalized.
According to reports from parents of students at the Tue Duc School system's two campuses on Nguyen Thi Dinh and Luong Dinh Cua streets (Thu Duc City), after the afternoon snack on March 25th, some students experienced symptoms such as abdominal pain, nausea, and diarrhea upon returning home.
Suspecting their children had food poisoning, some parents took them to the hospital for examination and testing.

In response to the parents' complaint, a representative from the Tue Duc School system confirmed that the incident occurred as described.
Specifically, after their afternoon snack on March 25th, that same evening, upon returning home, 20 students at the school's two campuses experienced symptoms such as nausea and diarrhea, with the majority being students at the Luong Dinh Cua campus.
Of these, 4 students from the Luong Dinh Cua campus and 2 students from the Nguyen Thi Dinh campus were taken to the hospital for examination by their families and returned home on March 26th.
These students have symptoms of abdominal pain and diarrhea, but more severe than the others, suspected to be digestive disorders. The remaining students are in stable health and attending school as usual.
All treatment and examination costs for students affected by this outbreak will be covered by the meal provider for both facilities.
Representatives from the Tue Duc School system also informed that the school has taken food samples for testing, and the results will be available after 7 days. A report will also be compiled and sent to the Department of Education and Training of Thu Duc City.
Reportedly, on the afternoon of March 25th, students at both campuses had Korean-style stir-fried noodles and strawberry yogurt for their afternoon snack. The company providing meals for both campuses of Tue Duc School is Ha Thanh International Services Joint Stock Company (Haseca).
Tue Duc School is a private school system with multiple campuses in Ho Chi Minh City. The school's tuition and other expenses, such as meals, uniforms, extracurricular activities, transportation services, and after-school tutoring fees, amount to over 100 million VND per year.
