The Ba Ba Bridge, built in 1980, is an important connecting route between the residential area and the main road leading to the headquarters of the Do Thanh Commune People's Committee and National Highway 1.
Over the years, due to the effects of time and weather conditions, this bridge has seriously deteriorated. The bridge surface has many large cracks, the railings are broken and collapsing, posing a potential risk of accidents, especially for students and local residents who use it daily.

Due to funding difficulties, the repair of Ba Ba Bridge has been stalled for many years. However, following a report by Nghe An Newspaper, the People's Committee of Do Thanh Commune mobilized resources from the State budget combined with social contributions to carry out repairs to the bridge, which have now been completed and put into use.

Mr. Luyen Xuan Hue, Chairman of the People's Committee of Do Thanh commune, said: "We have completely re-paved the concrete bridge surface and replaced the railings to ensure safety. In addition, weeds at both ends of the bridge have been cleared, and cracks and fractures have been thoroughly repaired."
Based on observations at the site on May 6th, the bridge now boasts a new appearance. The bridge surface is smooth, the railings are sturdy, and people can use it with peace of mind.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Luong, residing in Gia My hamlet, Do Thanh commune, shared: “Previously, the bridge was severely dilapidated, and there were instances of people and vehicles falling into the river while crossing it. Now that the bridge has been repaired and is in good condition, people and students can travel much more safely, and everyone is delighted.”
The timely repair of the deteriorating condition of the Ba Ba bridge not only contributes to ensuring traffic safety but also demonstrates the swift and effective response of the local authorities to feedback from the press and the public.
