Taking advantage of unripe durians that unfortunately fell during the rainy season, Mr. Doan Tan Phuoc (28 years old), from Binh Phuoc, shared how to make delicious durian soup that not everyone knows.

"There is a type of durian that even if you have money, you may not be able to eat, which is green durian (unripe - PV) because no one picks durian when it is still green. Every year during the rainy season, farmers will inevitably lose some green durian. The most frustrating part for durian farmers is this part, after all the effort of taking care of it, just a few days before the harvest, it finally falls off," he shared in the clip.

Durian soup cooked with pork leg, made from unripe durians that fell in the garden due to the weather, has been causing a stir on social networks in recent days.

Testing the green durian fruit, which is about half a month old and can be harvested but fell due to strong winds, Mr. Phuoc said the durian is crunchy and has a slightly sweet taste. According to him, when it falls at this time, no matter what you do, it will not ripen, the only way is to throw it away or use it to make dishes from durian.

From here, Mr. Phuoc introduces to everyone the unique durian soup with pig's feet, a "reluctant" dish of durian farmers.

What does durian taste like?

After separating the green durian segments, remove the seeds and divide into bite-sized portions. After being carefully prepared, the ham will be cooked like soup and seasoned as usual.

After about 30 minutes of cooking, Mr. Phuoc put the durian into the pot. The durian flesh was placed on top of the pot, not stirred because according to Mr. Phuoc, after being put into the pot, the durian flesh would soften due to the heat. Therefore, the durian should only be stewed for about 10 minutes to be just soft enough, not crushed.

"This dish is like a normal soup so I eat it with rice. The soup is surprisingly delicious! The durian is super chewy, when cooked, it doesn't have the durian smell like when it's ripe. The dish is delicious, but my expectation is that the durian smell will be gone a little bit for a change. If you have the chance, you should try it, it's really delicious," he shared.
