In order to implement the program of maxillofacial malformation surgery for children in 2023, currently, all levels and branches in the province are promoting propaganda to the people so that people can get information and take their children to be examined and screened.
This humanity-rich program is organized by the Vietnam Children's Fund and Operation Smile Vietnam (OSV) in collaboration with sectors and localities in the province.

It is expected that the screening program will take place on the morning of June 30 at Thai Nguyen Central Hospital. The cases that are screened and operated are children under 6 years old with defects and deformities such as: cleft lip (for children aged 16 months and weighing 6kg or more); cleft palate (for children aged 8 months and weighing 18kg or more); Congenital malformations such as lip scars, cleft palate, nasal deformities...
OSV organization will support surgery expenses for the specified cases. In addition, the children were also supported with food and travel expenses at the rate of 350.000 VND/patient who had to stay at the hospital for surgery; 100 VND/patient who comes for screening at less than 20km away from the clinic and 150 VND/patient at more than 20km away.
