On November 30, Cu Chi District Police (Ho Chi Minh City) is investigating and prosecuting the above mentioned theft.
The victim of theft is Mr. MVP (36 years old, from Thanh Hoa, temporarily residing in Tan Phu Trung commune, Cu Chi district), working as a delivery person, Shipper.
Before that, around 13:40 p.m. on November 29, Mr. P. drove a motorbike carrying a box containing dozens of packages to deliver at a house on Pham Van Cheo street, Cu Chi town, Cu Chi district. Upon arriving, Mr. P. turned off the engine, parked the car in front of the gate but did not take out the key and only took one package to walk into the house to deliver to the customer.
Mr. P said: "I think delivering the goods and leaving immediately is subjective. At that time, I saw a young man approaching and sitting in the car, but I thought it was simply a neighbor playing around...".
Suddenly, the young man started the engine and drove away with the goods behind him. When discovered, Mr. P. chased him a long way and continuously shouted loudly, chanting "robber, robber, robber...". At that time, someone around discovered them and used a motorbike to chase the thief, but could not make it in time.
After the theft, Mr. P. went to the local police to report it. The police recorded testimony, extracted images from surrounding cameras and recorded an incident where Mr. P. had his motorbike and goods stolen.
According to Mr. P, his motorbike was bought many years ago, and its price at that time was 24 million VND. In addition, 34 packages were taken, with an estimated value of nearly 10 million VND.
“Being a Shipper is very hard, running on the streets all the time, earning about 8 million VND per month, to cover the family's expenses. Now that I lost my car, I'm unemployed and have to pay for dozens of lost orders," Mr. P. said sadly.
